𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐦𝐞 || 𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚

1 - I

[ Hinata's POV ]

I yawn as the bright sun rays creep through my blinds, I look up to see the time.

6:10 am

"Oh shoot! I don't have much time!" I curse under my breath.

I only have a few more minutes before Kageyama-

Ding

I pick up my phone that was barely even charged on the nightstand, I open my messages and-

From Kageyama

Oi! Boke, race you to school!

That cheeky milk man...

"I'M NOT GONNA LOSE!"

I didn't even realize that I was shouting at this point, it wasn't until Natsu barged into my room and gave me a shush.

I got up, went to the bathroom, ate breakfast, said goodbye to mom and Natsu and here I am now, pedalling with all my strength just to win, again.

I start slowing down as I begin to see Karasuno High School's silhouette, slowly receiving the light of the sun rising up behind the mountains.

Just as I begin picking up my pace again, I spot a familiar dark haired boy walking along the side of the concrete path.

Of course I know exactly who this boy is.

"Kageyaaaaaama!" I yell. Eventually, he looks behind and gives me this competitive smirk.

The race officially began, with me pedalling like I was being chased by a bunch of zoo animals and Kageyama never taking his eyes off the road.

We got to the school gate by a tie. Of course neither of us accepted it so I immediately put my bike in the racks and locked it up.

I won in a heartbeat, nearly losing to Kageyama. It feels like an accomplishment to be honest, I admit, Kageyama has always been better than me in a lot of things. Racing to school is the only thing I can win against him in terms of a one on one challenge.

"That's 81 wins for me and 79 losses for you, beat that Bakayama!" I stick my tongue out.

Teasing him is one I'd like to call a golden moment, you never know what his reaction will be until you see it.

"Shut up, Boke! I'm still better than you." He says, crossing his arms before looking away.

It's cute when he does this, not gonna lie.

I look over to my left to see Suga-senpai holding the gym keys. I guess he's in charge of it this time.

"Ah, Hinata, Kageyama, Good morning!" He says, the way he said it was soft, sort of like a motherly tone.

Me and Kageyama both bow in respect to our senpai. Suga-senpai giggles a bit before unlocking the gym.

"Suga-senpai, I thought Daichi-san was supposed to open up today." I chirped.

"He'll be here in a bit, he just overslept last night." Suga replied, looking a little exhausted.

"Oh? How do you know that then?" Kageyama asks from behind me while continuously setting a volleyball, not getting distracted even for a bit.

Suga-san blushed at this and only said that Daichi texted him last night to ask about the topics during class. I thought nothing of it, obviously.

Kageyama continues to set the ball, a bit further this time.
