Chapter 8: I Love Him...

"OMG!!" Nadene squeeled. "You guys had sex?!"

"Nadene! Sshhh!!" I yelled. "And yes."

Me and Nadene were hanging out at my house. She was gonna sleepover, and I just explained what happened last night.

"OMG! This is huge! I sooo knew you would like him!" 

"Yeah, yeah. We were planning on going out tonight, but I'm stuck here and grounded"

"That sucks. I can't believe you actually butt-dialed mom though"

"I know! It was embarrassing! But he was so cool about it. He didn't care."

"Sounds like you guys are meant to be, T-B-H. OMG! Did he say it yet?"

"Say what?"

"Those 3 words. The ones you say when you find 'the one'?"

"Ohhh. No. I bet he was about to say it last night, though"

"Would you say it back?" She asked.

"Well....you think I'm ready?"

"Maia! You literally sound AND look in love!"

"Really? We've been going out for 3 days."

"Maia, you guys had sex. You met his family and he took you to a bar. It looks like you guys have been going out for.....a year."

"I guess."

"When is he gonna meet your mom and dad?"

"Well, we're planning dinner tomorrow. But we haven't actually decided yet. It hasn't come up."

"It hasn't come up? Or is he avoiding it?" 

"It hasn't come up! Nady!"

"Sorry. I'm so glad your finally happy, Maia!"

"I am too, believe it or not."

She smiled. "You should call him."

"It won't bother you?"

"Maia! Of course NOT!"

"Okay...if you say so." I said. I pulled out my phone and dialed in Ross's number. I put the phone against my ear. "Hey Rossy! It's me Maia!"

"Hey babe! You still grounded?" He said through the phone.

"Yes, sadly. Will you come visit me? HEY! I know! My parents can meet you!"

"Oh...uhhh sure. When?"

"At 7:00 PM. I'll see you here?"

"Sure. I have to go. Bye babe!"

"Bye Ross!" I said. He hung up.

"HE'S COMING FOR DINNER TONIGHT?!?!" She yelled.

"Yessss....."

"OMG MAIA THIS IS HUGE!! YOU'VE GOTTA GET DOLLED UP! COME ON!!" She yelled, pulling my arm.

I told my Mom and Dad that Ross is coming over. Nadene was giving me a makeover, now.

"Ouch Nady!" I yelled

"Sorry Maia! Your hair is a bit....tangled" She said while brushing my hair.

She pulled another hard brush through it. "Just get with the curling already!"

"Okay, okay!" She said, pulling out a curling iron.

"Don't burn me" I said. She chuckled.

1 Hour Later...  

"How do I look?" I asked.

"O-M-G!!! You look GORGEOUS!!!" 

"Yeah?"

"Yess!!"

DING DONG 

"Oh my gosh!! Ross is here!! GO HIDE!!!" I yelled.

Mom was making dinner. Dad was in the living room. 

Nadene went with my Mom.

I opened the door. 

"Maia....you look amazing!!" Ross complimented.

I blushed. "You do too."

He came in my house. 

Nadene was squeeling, my parents stared at him.

"Ummm...Maia, is this Ross?" Mom asked.

"Yesss....why?" I questioned.

"Oh nothing! Welcome!" She exclaimed.

"Hello, Ross!" My dad greeted. 

"Hey sir!" Ross said.

Awkward silence filled the room. I smiled. 

1 Hour Later...   

We all sat down at dinner.

I felt bad for Ross. My dad just gave him a full lecture of Why to Not Get Tattoos   and How to Protect Maia 

My Mom served the food. Ross grabbed the salt.

"Now, now mister!" Dad exclaimed "Do I need to give you a full lecture of Why Not to Put So Much Salt On Your Food?" 

"No, sir. I'm good" He said, putting the salt back.

'Dad!' I mouthed to dad. He shrugged.

45 Minutes Later...  

"Maia, I need to get home." Ross said.

"Okay. Bye Ross!"

"Night Babe!" He said, opening the door.

"HEY!! Call her MAIA!!" My dad lectured.

Ross closed the door. "DAD!!" I yelled.

"Maia, I don't like him."

"Does it ALWAYS have to be about you????" I asked.

"Maia, he's no good. I don't want you dating 'Bad Boys'"

"You want me to break up with the guy I love?!"

"Love??!! Maia, he doesn't love you back."

"You don't know that!!"

"Maia, you have no choice"

"What? MOM!!!" 

"Your Dad's right"

"WHAT?! I HATE YOU!!!" I yelled, running back up to my room with tears streaming down my cheeks. I felt Nadene running after me.

They want me to break up with him....

He doesn't love you back 

What does he know about love?

The guy I love   

I love him...
