Sofia the First: The Awaited Story

Chapter 5: Amber and James

Narrator:

It was midnight when James still couldn't go to sleep...

James POV:

After we had our sibling chat, I still couldn't go to sleep compared to those two, who were sound asleep. I still kept thinking about what Sophia had said. 

*FLASHBACK*

"YOU LIKE HUGO?!!" I shouted

Sophia blushed as Amber hold in her scream. "I knew it!!" she said."I totally see you guys together?!" 

Sophia likes Hugo, I thought to myself. What am I going to do. I kept thinking. My lil sister likes my best friend, still shocked as I thought. Its not like I don't want to see them together but what if she gets hurt. Hugo was a player at RP for a while and is popular..what if Hugo doesn't like Sophia and embarrasses her?.. what if she get bullied by the girls that like him too?..I stopped thinking when Amber asked a question..

"Well..are you going to tell him?!"

I felt my blood  boiling, "telling Hugo"?! I thought to myself, not yet! she's too young!!!

"T-there's no point," Sophia said, "I'll be leaving anyways to Aelennata and won't be back for awhile.."

See I was right, telling Hugo would only bring trouble for her. Now my lil sister won't get hurt by him and I could sleep peacefully now.

"Oh Sophia, you should tell him ," Amber said, "I'm sure he likes you too." What?! I thought, looking at Amber, are you insane I thought. Don't be pressuring Sophia to tell him?! Worst idea!

"But..I'll be gone and he'll probably forget me anyways," Sophia depressingly said. Even though I don't like the idea of Hugo and Sophia together, I hated the idea more of Sophia being sad. She was right, he might forget.. In that moment I thought of an idea of how  to make Hugo not forget her, I thought as I grinned inside.

"Oh Sophia, he won't forget you trust me," Amber said comforting Sophia. "Everything will go your way."

And she was right, as much I didn''t want the pair to be together, I'll help them. Soon after continuing the talk we eventually fell asleep..

*End of Flashback*

Once I came back to my sense, I stood up and thought of what I needed to do in order to execute my plan, I was not going to allow Hugo to make Sophia sad in forgetting her. I went to Amber's desk and wrote down what I needed to do. It was around morning when I finished and went to sleep for awhile.

*The next morning*

Sophia had to go to Ever Realm Academy since she was going for the first year and return once back from Aelennata. Leaving just Amber and I here.

Amber POV:

Once Sophia left with our parents, I was turning to my room once more when I noticed James acting strange..I decided to confront him..

"James?," I spoke, "what are you doing?"

"Oh Amber, uh nothing,"

"James it's not nothing," I replied, "I know my twin. Now. What are you doing?"

"Fine." he sighed in defeat, "I thought of a plan in order for Sophia to be happy when leaving for Aelennata and to not be sad when she comes back. Mainly make Hugo not forget her."

I stood in amazement. James. My twin brother James, was  making a plan to keep Sophia and Hugo together when he hates the idea of someone being next to Sophia of the opposite gender. I shed a tear.

"Why are you crying?' he asked.

He's growing up, I thought. "Oh nothing." I replied. I wasn't going to tell him I'm proud. "Well I want to help to. I care for Sophia too." James seemed to think about it for a while before agreeing.

"Okay, so this is what we are going to do.." he said as he explained the plan to me.

"Perfect!" I replied, " It's the perfect plan to keep them close and keep Sophia happy while we are away."

"Yeah it is, and the second plan we'll do once we are back and Sophia is still at Aelennata." James explains.

"Perfect," I said, "now to tell our friends." As James was writing a letter to all our friends except Hugo to come over. While James did that I thought of something more perfect to do and decided to do it. 

Perfect, I thought. Since I can't say farewell to Sophia when she leaves to Aelennata, I could give them this to better move the plan along. Now to wait for the day when we leave to come..
