Sophia POV:

The ball is over and since my family were the ones hosting the ball, I had to stay with my parents to say farewell.

Desmond and his parents were the last ones to say guide out. And once finished, I remembered about my failed response to Hugo but he already left...I saw as he was in his carriage as it went towards the horizon view, as my family walked inside.

"Sophia, are you coming?", Mother said.

I glanced back once again at Hugo as I saw him disappear, "yes, coming."

Hugo POV:

Once we got home my family headed to there rooms, as I still sat in the carriage thinking of what Sophia was going to say.

"Hey baby bro, you okay?", Axel said. "Baby bro?"

Lost in thought, I finally came back to my senses, "y-yeah, oh Ax. Yeah I'm okay"

"You got your girl to dance with you?", he smirked.

"W-what? shes not my girl Ax..", I utter.

"Yeah sure  baby bro, whatever you say," as he walked in doors.

"I myself did not know what she was to me" I thought to myself, as I walked in.

I got to my room , still reflecting back to moment. I was exhausted, I never much were a ball guy, but what tired me out more was that specific moment of not knowing, I was eating me! Making me go delusional. As soon as I touched my bed I feel asleep. Not knowing what to expect.

Sophia POV:

As we went inside, my dad got stormed over by Baileywick and seemed to whisper something important as he called mother over to their rooms after saying goodnight. Amber and James and I looked at each other at what it might be.

"Wonder what that was about?", James voiced.

"I wonder..". I joined.

"Oh well, whatever it is, it is something for tomorrow, I'm going to bed. I need my beauty sleep," Amber added.

James and I giggle, rolling our eyes to her statement, all in while saying our goodnight.

Once I got to my room, I changed into my night gown and headed towards my bed and laying down. Still thinking about how the situation would of been if she had said her response.

As I laid there, I was tired but couldn't sleep. Still hopeless in sleeping, I decided to write in my journal that my aunt Tilly gave me. She gave it to me when I became the story-keeper. She told me every story and story-keeper go through a lot and when she was one, she had one too, which she passed on to me to learn from experience too.. She stated, "helps with dealing with life and obstacles and in passing on the experience to the next generation." And so I wrote..

Dear Journal,

I don't know of what to do with my own self. Today Hugo confessed his feeling for me and I stood in shook, and I still am. In life we are met with difficult question that hint towards our minds but this one was towards my heart..Since I met Hugo, he hated me, then became my best friend. I see him as someone who I could trust, and helps me in times of needs. We play ice-hockey and ice-dancing together, it is always fun with him..although he is handsome....and...caring and competitive..he is my best friend..I don't know how I feel about him.

When he confessed, I was going to tell him that...I--

In that instant, as I was writing, my head started to fall forward and I blacked out..seems like I feel asleep without myself actually knowing how I  felt.

Meanwhile Sophia debated how she felt in her journal..something was occurring that would change Sophia's path in how she felt and the events to come....

Roland II POV:

"But Roland..I don't know about this", Miranda replied anxiously.

"I know it would be hard to get use to but its a chance to send them for a better future," I spoke. "I as much as you want to value their decision, but at least for three years they would have to go since it was tradition my mother insisted to do."

Miranda was scared and worried about how their children would be, especially Sophia since she was two years younger than James and Amber meaning she'll be away the longest.

"Okay, since its what your mother implies and recommends," Miranda phrased.

"Good. We'll tell the children tomorrow," I conveyed. "You'll see, they'll be back in no time." Giving a hug to my wife as I headed to get ready for bed.

Relief came to me once I told my wife about sending the children to beyond the stars where I himself went by recommendation of my mother. Now all that is left is telling the kids...well that was easier said then done. I chuckled at the hardness of the task as I went to bed.

Fates changing and paths elongated..What was to come was another difficult path ...
