paddy wasn't at school today because he has the flu. me and his friends has become close and we hang out even when he's not there. somehow today the topic of who we like comes up 🙄. "we all know who paddy likes" ( imma just make up a name) andrew giggles while saying.
" yeah it's sophia ain't it?" i ask and they all look at me as if i grew a second head.
"oh no y/n you don't know do u?" he said surprisingly.
"no what do i not know?"
" he clearly likes you y/n why else would he never leave your side. i bet it's killing him now that he's not here with you right now." another boy devin says. they all has serious looks on their faces so i know this isn't a joke but i still dont buy it bc sone of them are in drama club so they are rlly good actors.
"yeahhhhhhh right" i say rolling my eyes and walking away
paddy texted me saying he wanted to see me after school so since he lives a road down from me i just take a detour and go down his street. i walk in to see his dad and brother sam talking on the couch.
"hey sweetie if you're here to see pads he's upstairs in his room" he dad says
" ok thanks mr dom"
i head upstairs and turn right to paddy's room he's laying in his bed on his phone which doesn't surprise me at all. when i walk in he puts his phone down and gives me a smile
"hey y/n/n how was school?" he asks
" bout as good as it can be" he chuckles at that
"how's the boys doin"
" good drew, devin, and gavin have been working on their new play and andrew and aiden have been working non stop at football practice"
" then i'm happy i'm right here then" he giggles
gosh he has the cutest giggle i thought.
"the boys were saying something bout you today that i just had to laugh at" i said
" oh really and what's that" he asks intrigued
" the topic came up in who we like and everyone announced that u like me and that's why u never leave my side" i giggled at that last part
"oh well then......." he said scratching his neck
"whattttttttt"
" well they aren't lying"

" not at all" says at we intertwined our fingers.
