I FEEL YOU

I feel you. Your heart, it sings.

I feel you. The joy it brings.

Where heaven waits there's golden gates

And back again.

You take me to

And lead me through oblivion.

This is the morning of our love.

It's just the dawning of our love.

March, 26th

Lucy woke up in a pool of golden sun rays coming through the slightly parted curtains, pleasantly tickling the palm of her feet.

She stayed like that for a moment enjoying the calming sound of the air conditioning humming from the other room then she rolled on her back and propped herself slightly up with a pillow, assessing her hangover which was surprisingly very mild and benevolent.

Outside the window, the white and gold buildings shimmered in the sunlight and the Strip ran to the distance, dissolving into the plain periphery and the mountain decorating the horizon.

Lucy turned on her side, propping her head on her hand and watched James sleeping on his stomach next to her; she admired his naked body, his messy hair and his peaceful pout, the arms bent over his head made his wide back contract ever so slightly in toned, ripped muscles; she reached out and let a finger hover over his spine as she moved it down to his perfect, round bottom, where she pinched the hard flesh.

James' soft scoff proved he was awake.

Lucy retreated her hand quickly as if she had been caught doing something naughty.

"Please continue," said James behind a grin and closed eyes.

James' hoarse sleepy voice sent shivers down Lucy's spine.

The man turned on his side and eventually opened his eyes.

"Good morning, my love."

Lucy placed her head on the pillow and took James' hand.

"Good morning, my love," she repeated with a smile.

"How are you feeling?" He chuckled registering his own hangover.

Lucy combed his hair back.

"I've been worst but I wished the bad stopped rocking."

They both laughed, James shared the sentiment.

"How about some breakfast?" He asked. "Or lunch...no idea!"

"Definitely lunch," said Lucy checking the time on the clock on the bedside table.

"Ok, let me go to the bathroom then we can order room service."

He unsteadily stood up and made his way to the bathroom.

"You know I just remembered, I had the weirdest dream!" He yelled from the other room.

Lucy rolled on her stomach, reaching out for her phone.

"Really? I had a bizarre one too!" She giggled.

Her notifications alerted her that she had a voicemail.

"I dreamt that we got married," she shouted, laughing at the silliness of the dream.

"What did you say?" James hurried back into the bedroom, his eyes wide.
