CHRIS POV
After dropping Kayla off at school l drove to my apartment which was closer to school where l took a shower and changed whilst the entire time Kira was in my mind, her smile, warmth, kisses damn l couldn't get enough.
School went as planned, as promised l picked Kayla and thank Gid those two ladies didn't give me a hard time like yesterday but didn't drop her to Kira for all l know she could be dead asleep and Kayla won't have anyone to babysit her so it's either my mom or she's coming with me for practice. My mom it's too early l haven't introduced them as yet it is practice.
"How was your day at school." I ask her
"It was pretty boring cause mama is not yet fine so l was thinking about her."
Packing into the school lot l go to her and reassure her
"Mommy will be fine soon okay. Don't worry about a thing."
"Okay. Do you promise ?" She whispers
"Pinky promise." I held my pinky for her to which she gladly sealed our promise
"What do you think about joining me for training." I ask trying to cheer her up.
"Not today. I don't have any clothes." Smart ass l thought.
"How about l give you my iPad and you watch cartoons you like. That okay till l finish." I confirm
"That can work." She answers
Let's just say coach has a soft side for me so when l asked for his precious office for Kayla to use whilst l train, he hesitantly said yes and even gave Kayla candy. Though l had a lot of convincing on my side that she ain't my baby
"That could ruin your career boy." So he said to me.
I shrugged it off and tried to enjoy my practice just like any other day cause l pretty much don't see how it could ruin my career. Jose filled me in on Elena and Lucas remained with
"You know when time is right."
"It better not be my sister." I laugh it off with him which he responds with a
"I wouldn't do that to you."
Normal time l finished training and don't blame me but l had forgotten
"Aren't you forgetting someone in my office." Coach yelled.
Stopping in my tracks l jog to the office and l find her fast asleep on the couch and she looked adorable. Taking her in my arms as silently as l could she just moaned a little bit.
"Thanks coach."
"Better promise it won't happen again."
"I can't make a promise l can't keep." I replied and left to grab food at Mrs Jacksons diner to which she gave me the one she cooked on her own and wished Kira a speedy recovery.
By then Kayla had woken up to which she responded with my nap time was over anyway cause l felt bad for waking her up. This time Kira was awake we actually found her in the kitchen drinking coffee still wearing her lose(I could still see the figure) winter pjs that she still looked good in. Turning to the door being closed she smiled upon seeing both myself and Kayla at least l think.
"Hi mommy." Kayla greet her with her kiss before she left l guess to go to her room and change l am not sure or maybe to give us space is that even right. Well at least Kayla did leave a bigger and beautiful smile with her greeting.
Walking towards her she stays rooted to her position with her coffee mug in her hands which l gently took out and placed it on the counter when l reached her . She looked me in the eye when l wrapped my hands around her waist and she gladly kissed me back without hesitation. She slowly locked her arms around my neck as she played with my hair. Breaking apart
"Did you miss me." I ask with my signature smirk on display
"Very much." She responded and added " I can show you."
"You may do so my lady." I smile at her
She placed her lips on mine, it was that l am hungry for you kiss cause she was slow, took her time after getting the rhythm l claimed back my dominance when l asked for entry first and that's how l took the contour back. Lost in each other l lift her to sit in the counter as we continued to kiss for which felt like hours before we stopped. Wouldn't want Kayla seeing this in her early ages.
"I guess l missed you more." I peck her lips one more time before l started narrating to her how my day went as l reheated the food that Mrs Jackson's has cooked for me her favourite customer if you ask me besides her being aka my second grandmother. She just sat there watched me as we talked, later on Kayla walks in and joins the laughter and the happiness the mood had.
We played catch , laughed and let the evening fold into darkness where we slept and waited for the next day to see what new happiness it brings.
The next morning l didn't have lessons but only had practice. My Fridays are wow if you ask me. Sooner or later l need to take Kira on a date so she better meet my mother soon.
After refreshing up and me changing using clothes in my gym bag l finally broke the news to Kira.
"Hey do you want to meet my mom cause she sure wants to meet you and Kayla."
She froze
"That's if you feeling better. We can do that after dropping Kayla off."
"Chris-"
"It's okay if you can't l understand." I cut her off
"I was going to say okay though l am little nervous. But you cut me off either way." She smiles
"So let's see what this day holds." I retort
