I am in that honey moon phase of my relationship with Chris and how much l pray it stays like this for long. School hasn't changed much, difference sometimes is he comes to pick me up at my apartment and pick Kayla afterwards. Chris has been going for practice and as a good girlfriend l go for each and every game except for the days Kayla got the flu. They say when you happy days move by without even noticing and that's what's happening.
There was one weekend he took me and Kayla out for a date, he's good right l know. Jose finally asked El to be his girlfriend,Grayson has decided to do one night stands. Exams for summer break are coming and l have been working my ass off. Alice helps here and there to babysit Kayla, sometimes Chris and l 'study' each other.
Today is my last exam til summer break and Chris finished his business exam way before me, times l wish l didn't go for a medical degree and had gone for a business degree instead.
"Mamacita, you look like a zombie walking." Grayson welcomes me for lunch.
"I have seen worse." El adds more.
"I see beauty." Chris says as he sits next me kissing my cheek
"What's up for Summer break." Jose asks
"I have to visit my parents." El states
"Partying my ass off in my hometown." Grayson
"That there sounds like a plan." Lucas agrees with Grayson
"And you Kira," Dylan
"What l usually do. Have fun with Kayla now with an added person Chris." I answer
I never liked this talk cause they going to their homes where their parents are eagerly waiting for them and for me nothing. Spend my time with Kayla, binge watch series, go to the park, go for movies with Kayla. My world revolves around her and she knows grandma and grandpa don't want to see me ,she understands.
Changing the subject, Lucas starts to talk about a party that's being hosted tonight and it just so happens Alice had booked today to spend the day with Kayla. It wouldn't harm me to attend one right.
I caught a ride with Elena because we had to pass by the mall to buy something with Kayla and Grayson. Something simple would do, and there's beauty in simplicity. Alice passed by the apartment to pick Kayla on her way home. When the sun had been engulfed completely by darkness Jose and Chris arrived.
El runs to Jose and l walk to Chris who gives me a sloppy passionate kiss, l should always tell him to come pick me up if his kisses are gonna be like that.
I have been to a party before l just haven't been to one recently but some things never change like air reeking of alcohol and sweat, people making out, beer ping, truth or dare ,some stripping. Chris has fans l must say everyone be greeting him, me not knowing who's from where which l don't even want to know.
Going to grab a drink he let my hand go as l navigated my way to grab beer, mine and his. On my way back he was talking to some girl wearing a very short dress with her boobs on display. There were too close for comfort if you ask me and the last thing l wanted right now is to deal with his one night stands.
Instead l make my way outside to sit on one of the chairs by the pool and drink my beer in peace without seeing whatever the hell they were doing.
"Is this sit taken." A deep voice asks
"Do you see anyone sitting there." I ask
I hate that question honestly, is it taken when you loo at it and yet they still ask. He sits either way and l continue with star gazing
"I am Brad."
"Kira."
I didn't want to entertain him or anyone at the moment, l just wanted to get this day over with.
"You don't look much in the mood to talk maybe later."
He gives me his phone and if this is the only way to chase him, l give him my number and thank goodness he left me alone. Approximately after an hour and a half or less l don't know.
"Where have you been." Chris more like shouts than ask
"Been here for the past hour and a half whilst you talked to one of your bimbos." I reply him
"her name is Rita."
"Didn't ask for her name Chris." I retort
"Why didn't you just come to me."
"Why didn't you come to after realizing l have been missing for like thirty minutes cause to me it looks like you were enjoying your time that you forgot my existence for almost two hours dear boyfriend." My anger and frustration was building slowly.
"Kira come in its not what you think."
"Then do tell me what l should think." I sit upright to face him.
"I-l-l" He stammers
"Exactly my point. You would rather be in their company than in mine. If l had known this party would have been disaster l would have stayed home watching things like Netflix cause it doesn't give me stress." I almost yell at him.
"Kira come on." He holds my hand
"What Chris."
"I am sorry okay. I was just trying to make her understand that what we had is no more, but because she didn't see you only on my home screen she thought you were one of those. And l didn't know it would take longer to make it sink in her thick skull."
"Uh, Why did you let me believe what l wanted ."
"Cause you my dear queen look very much sexy when you shouting. And l could not stop my thoughts wondering where they were."
"Chris ." I hit his shoulder
"Saying my truth my lady."
He takes my hand so that l stand and get almost leveled with him, lifting my chin to meet his dark colored eyes he places his lips on mine for a very much needed kiss that almost made me want to leave this place to take it to another level.
"So how about you show me what you can do on the dance floor." Chris whispers in my ear
"Don't say l didn't warn you when things get heated."
"Is taping out an option." He asks with a lopsided grin
"Never. We fight till the end. Isn't it what you guys say." It was my turn to flash him my mischievous grin cause k just have the right thing to do and already l am swaying my hips infront of him.
"So better pray God helps you." I give him a peck.
