Wren held an ice pack on his face while the Principal and Mrs. Wallace argued over his current state. The Principal was arguing that they don't have evidence of it being Kyle and Mrs. Wallace was arguing that everyone already knew Kyle was a bully.
“I am sorry, but we can not accuse a student of something when it happened in the one place that this school has a blind spot. On top of that, no one was around to see it!” The Principal exclaimed with his hands on his hips.
“For God's sake, Andre, that means it was premeditated! You think that he just did this to himself?!” Mrs. Wallace yelled while pointing at Wren.
The Principal sighed in frustration and sat back down into his chair. He clasped his hands together while rubbing them against his forehead.
“If I can find a piece of evidence then I will expel him immediately. You have my word.” The Principal said with a sympathetic smile towards Wren.
Mrs. Wallace nodded and clasped her hand on Wren's shoulder. She motioned for him to follow her outside of the office. Wren stood up and nodded at The Principal before leaving his office.
“Are you sure that no one saw it happen?” Mrs. Wallace asked with a pleading look.
“It was in front of Mr. Trent's classroom and when I looked, he was just staring at me,” Wren said hesitantly.
“I knew that was- ahem, that man always hated you. I am going to have a little chat with him after classes.” Mrs. Wallace said with anger evident in her eyes.
Wren looked around the front office and noticed that Bret was standing in front of the office workers at the front desk. Bret looked up and saw Wren. His smile upon seeing him quickly faded into a wide-eyed stare of shock.
“Right, he needs to be led around.” Mrs. Wallace said to herself.
“I'll do it,” Wren said while already approaching Bret.
Mrs. Wallace didn't attempt to stop him because it would be impossible to. Wren walked up to Bret and weakly smiled.
“I'm here to finish our tour,” Wren announced.
Bret looked at him and nodded as they both walked to the next class on the sheet. Wren was extremely focused on his next stop.
“Who did this to you?” Bret asked while giving a stern expression.
“An asshole, ” Wren stated calmly.
“Does this asshole have a name?” Bret questioned.
Wren looked at Bret with a furrowed brow. He shook his head as if to shake his thoughts away and chuckled.
“It's fine, you should see the other guy,” Wren said with a smirk even though he didn't even touch Kyle.
Bret pulled out his phone and handed it to Wren. He pointed at it with a smile on his face.
“Phone number, ” Bret clarified, “I wanna talk more. You're pretty cool.”
Wren typed in his phone number and labeled it with 'Bottom Bitch' instead of his actual name. Bret took his phone back and looked at the name for a while before chuckling.
“I'm a pimp now?” Bret asked while texting Wren's phone.
“Possibly, ” Wren replied while saving Bret's phone number. He named Bret, 'Pimp Daddy' with a heart emoji next to it.
“Well, since I have the duty of pimping, ” Bret exclaimed while putting his phone away, “I'll kick his ass for you.”
Wren looked at him with a puzzled look until realizing that he meant Kyle. He shrugged and placed his arms at his sides.
