As the sun began to rise on a Saturday morning, I awoke to the bluebirds chirping singing outside our bedroom window. Kimie laid sweetly next to me on the bed, still fast asleep. I glanced over to her with a sweet smile on my face.

‘This is to surreal… finding out my best friend… was my sister.’ I thought, still in disbelief. ‘Hoping things will go a lot smoother from now on.’

I gentle arouse my sleeping sister.

“Kim-Kimie, it’s time to get up.” I said, using my gentle poking her face to get her moving.

She swatted my hand away. “It’s too early… go back to sleep.”

“But you promised we would have a girl’s day, besides tonight is my big dinner date with Tamaki.”

I gave her a sad cute puppy face.

“Okay, okay. I’m up. I’m up” replied Kimie, stretching out the kinks in her body. “Man, your bed does wonders for any back problems. I slept like a lamb last night, compared to what I was use to. Father must have pampered you to the hills.”

“So I was thinking we hit the mall, then go get our nails done.”

“Woah, slow your roll sis, you act as if you were marrying the guy or something.”

“But I have never been on an actual date before, so I want to make sure I look presentable.”

“Like I’ve told you, it’s the thought that counts. Be thankful that father is letting you date at this age, so I am giving you the best advice to help you, even though mother isn’t always the right person to go to half the time.”

I giggled at Kimie’s sarcastic remark, then letting out a sigh of relief.

“How do you sound so mature. Yet… you seem to know the right stuff to say.”

“It’s all part of growing up.” She leaned down and kissed my forehead. “You’ll have your time someday. For now, just enjoy the moment.”

“Mm, I better change out of those clothes first. The last thing I would want is to be seen wearing yesterday’s attire.”

Meanwhile… at Tamaki’s estate.

“Alright, today is the day that I finally get to put that dating advice to good use. ‘Be Yourself’ it said. I should be able to do that. After all the ladies do love me for my charming princely charms, and smashing good looks.” He mumbled to himself. “I shouldn't have any problems, as long as things don’t go too much out of hand tonight.”

He quickly wrote down tonight’s date plans with Yuri.

“First, I’ll take her out to a lovely dinner, followed by a little dancing. Then bring her back home. Yeah, sounds like a sure fire plan for a first date.”  But then he started saying “Should I bring flowers?”

As soon Kimie and I came down stairs, Mother and Father were sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee.

“Morning Mother, Morning Father.” I said, with a slight attitude.

“Mother. Good morning, Father.” Kimie announced in a sarcastic tone.

“Good morning girls, where you off too this early.” Father asked.

“We’re heading off to the mall, to burn some time before Yuri’s big date, then going to the nail salon to get our have our nails done. And I was wondering if we could borrow your credit card.” Kimie replied.

He handed Kimie his credit card. “Knock yourself out.”
