Introduction

My dad and I have always had the best father-daughter relationship. But when he decides to work with the popular boy band, One Direction, it tears us apart.

He's always gone and leaves me with my step-mum, Heather.

Now that I've graduated, I want to fix our relationship, but who knew I would fall in love while trying to reach that goal.

As soon as I graduated high school my social life went down. I thought it would go up since school was no longer in the picture.

Everyday was boring. The only person I actually hung out with was Heather. I considered her a best friend not my 'new mummy'. She was different. She understood me unlike my real mum. She didn't even care about me. Heather did.

Now that my dad, Paul, is on tour with the boys of One Direction, I only have Heather. And I'm completely fine with that.

"Sweetie, don't you get tired of being in this big empty house with me?" Heather asked concerned with my social life.

"Not at all. I like being here with you. It's better than going to a club with a bunch of fake girls that I went to school with."

She brought me into a hug, "Paul is coming home tomorrow. You excited?"

I already felt the tears coming, "No. He's been gone for more than six months. He's completely forgotten about me."

She was quick to shut me up, "No, Alison! He loves you. He's just a little busy that's all."

"A little? He doesn't even bother to call me, but he still calls you." She kept her mouth shut. I wanted to fix things with my parents. I really did. But my relationship with my dad was more important. I've always been Daddy's little girl. Maybe seeing him will change my mind about being mad at him. We'll see what happens.
