she looked outside the window to check who or what made the sound, only to find nothing. not even a little critter. she was about to close the windows, when she saw a glimmer on the floor.
candy. it was one of her favourites as well. she didn't know who put it there, or why it was given to her. she went to her room and kept it safe in a drawer, in case it wasn't intended for her to eat.
she finished her chores and went to the grass field near her house. she was going to tell her brother all about what happened to her that day. she walked down the slope and saw her spot already occupied by someone else. it was the same boy she saw the day before - the one who cried.
he looked up to the sky. pointing at the clouds, he started to count each one and named them. a peculiar sight it was for her, but she guessed the lonesome ones are the weirdest; she knew that from experience though. maybe she was finally finding someone like her.
