Chrollo and I have been business partners for about a month now. Day and night we would work up a plan in ending Light Nostrade's career. Occasionally going out for extravagant dinners as a reward for my "hard work." I know I spent so many years hating the Mafia, but I must admit this lifestyle is growing on me. With the money Chrollo has provided me I was able to pay my rent and buy some new furniture as well. Chrollo has somewhat grown on me as well, partly because I felt guilty about almost killing him, and because he's been so kind.
He's had me do a few infiltrations to find information on Light Nostrade, and each time he would congratulate me and compliment me on my skills. I won't lie, it makes me feel really good about myself. Chrollo may be really kind to me, but I'm only doing all of this to avenge my father.
Tonight, Chrollo is going to come over because apparently, he has some big news that he couldn't disclose over the phone. I cleaned up my house and put on some nice clothes so I could look professional. I walked over to my kitchen and started to make a few sandwiches. Chrollo might be hungry, he's been working pretty restlessly since last month. I wonder if he pities me, because of what happened with my father, or maybe he relates to me? Why else would he be so kind?
As soon as I finished making the sandwiches, I heard a knock on my door. I froze with fear, but then calmed myself down. Perfectly timed. I walked over to my door and opened it, and there Chrollo stood, but he looked different. His usual bright brown eyes looked bleary and tired. He must've been working himself to death. He made an attempt at a smile to look normal. "You look awful, go sit down." I demanded. "Yes ma'am." He replied and trudged over to my new couch, taking a seat.
"Hungry?" I asked. "Yeah, I haven't eaten all day." He replied. "Perfect, I made some sandwiches." I exclaimed, sitting the plate on the coffee table in front of him. He looked up at me with a weak smile, "thank you." He said weakly. He opened a folder and took out a few papers and gestured for me to sit next to him. I sat next to him and scooted closely so I could see what he was trying to show me.
He handed me a couple of pictures of a mansion and started eating a sandwich. "What is this?" I asked. "That's Nostrade's manor, in these pictures here are two possible entrances. We'll need to work out a way to get you in either one of these entrances, and our plan is pretty much complete." He replied with his mouth full. I couldn't help but laugh.
"Whwt arer you laffin at?" He questioned as he stuffed another sandwich in his mouth. "Ahahahaha, you sound so goofy!" I giggled. He swallowed and softly smiled at me, "okay asshole, look at these pictures and try to figure out how you can break-in. I'm going to write this letter to my assistant." He laughed. "Alright." I replied.
As I looked over the pictures, I started feeling a little curious. I've never really had any friends, so I'm not certain what friendship is like, but I think this is the closest thing I've had to friendship.
"Chrollo?" I asked.
"Mhm?"
"Are we friends?"
He paused for a moment. "Would you like to be friends?"
I pondered my answer. "I think I would like that."
"Then we're friends."
I smiled. Who would ever think I would be friends with the person I once hated so deeply? Would my dad dislike this? Should I dislike this? I feel like I should, but to be honest I'm kind of relived. It feels like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.
Ironically, Chrollo's head fell on my shoulder. "Chrollo?" I questioned. He didn't answer, so I turned my head to look at him. His eyes were closed and he dropped his paper in pencil. I sighed.
He fell asleep? We still have so much work to do. Should I wake him up? I closely examined him, and he looked so peaceful. I can't wake him up now, I'll give him a few minutes. Besides, he's been working really hard, getting barely any sleep. He's earned it.
My eyes started to feel a little heavy. Hmm, I feel pretty tired too. Would it hurt to just take a little nap? Of course not, I'll just lay back for a little while and shut my eyes. I'll wake up in time to start working again. I leaned back gently so I wouldn't wake Chrollo, and adjusted his head to a more comfortable position on my chest. I closed my eyes.

I was in my old home, sitting on the couch with my dad, watching TV. There was a knock at my door.
"That must be your friend, go get it." Said, my dad.
"Are you sure? Don't you want to hang out today?" I asked.
"Forget about me for a little bit, enjoy your time with your friend."
I walked over to my door and opened it and Chrollo was there waiting for me. "Ready to go to the movie?" Chrollo asked. "Yeah, let's go!" I cheered.

What an odd dream. I sat up on my couch and looked out of my window. It's day already? Shit! I overslept.
"I hope you don't mind, but I started making some breakfast for you." I heard a voice say from behind me. I turned around and saw Chrollo flipping pancakes, one of them fell on the floor.
I started to giggle. "That's your fault! You made me nervous!" Chrollo joked. I enjoyed seeing this side of him, he could be so serious and tense sometimes. It was nice seeing him joking around.
"Why didn't you wake me last night?" Chrollo asked.
"Well, you just looked so peaceful, and I know how tired you were yesterday."
"Thank you, it means a lot. I don't know the last time I've slept that good, you make a great pillow."
I giggled again and he smiled softly at me. "I don't know if I've ever seen you like this before." He teased. "What do you mean?" I asked. "I mean, I don't think I've ever seen you so relaxed. Did you sleep well?" Chrollo continued. He's right, why am I so relaxed?
He put the pancakes on plates, along with eggs and bacon. That actually looks really good. "Well anyway, eat up. While you were still sleeping I completed the plan." Chrollo said while handing me a plate, taking a seat next to me.
"Let's hear it." I said, taking a bite of the food. Delicious.
Chrollo explained the plan to me in great detail. I was to go in through the aforementioned entrance and start a fire, setting an alarm to make sure everyone left safely. This would burn a majority of his cash and be the ace-in-the-hole in ending Light Nostrade's reign of terror.
Chrollo grabbed my face and stared me in the eyes. I could feel the heat across my face. What is he doing?
"Kumi, I can't emphasize this enough, do not kill Light Nostrade, okay?" Chrollo probed.
"Why shouldn't I?" I questioned.
"It won't make you feel any better about your father, it will only fill you with emptiness."
I breathed deeply. He might be right, but what does he know? Whatever, no use in arguing, I'll just comply for now. "Okay, I won't kill Light." I promised.
