"Why here..?"
Jungkook leaned on the engine of the car, looking at the ridge of the hill. His chest rised up and down as he took deep breaths, his eyes shining under the moonlight and a few stars were appreciating the darkness at eight.
"Needed some fresh air.." he sighed.
Natsumi slanted her back as well, her back grazing the light hot engine's duck. Adjusting her coat, she feels the coldness on her cheeks, her free hair strands dangling out of her ponytail, swaying in the similar direction with the wind.
A few nights belonged to one of those quiet ones, where two bestfriends don't speak to each other. They don't need words to feel their presence and rather felt warm with being around together.
But this wasn't gonna be one of those nights because Jungkook clearly knew what he was here for..
Eyes focused on emptiness of the ridge, he muttered, "Where were you yesterday?"
"Huh?"
She had no idea where this was coming from. As if the voice belonged to him but not the words. And this is the point where she knew that something was really wrong.
He didn't speak anything, he knew she heard him more than well. She gulps and looks in the same direction where the latter did.
"I.. I went to Itaewon.." she mumbled.
"Alone?"
"Mhmm.."
"Why?"
This wasn't a going well.. it hasn't been a couple of minutes since they are here and she could feel the tension rising in her chest. When was she like this infront of her own bestfriend.. she thought.
"Just.. went to give a break for my mind.."
"You don't go clubbing alone.. that too when you have a boyfriend." He looks at her side.
She grows more tensed. "..He was busy.. and I-"
"Look me in my eyes and lie."
She stopped. She looked down. And then up again.
"I thought we are here to talk about what is bothering you.." her lashes wavered. "We are here to talk about you, not me."
He scoffed at her saying. Shaking his head, he looks to the other side. "What did I ever do to make every person suddenly start lying to me.."
