"NO, mama my entire life is here! I Just started my modeling career and It's about to take off! Father has never showed any interest in us until now ??? WHY CANT GABE AND MAX STAY WITH HIM!!" I screamed.
"You will not disobey me Natalia, not again, your father has custody rights to you guys, you know this. He has an order for you guys to stay with him for the American school year, I can't do anything about it, you have to go or I go to the policia" my mother said.

She was right, he had won the custody battle. He figured that missing 16 years of our lives now he wants to get to know us. The last time we seen our father was when we were 3 years old, but that doesn't count. Ever since last month, we have been packing for a surprise trip that our mother had been hiding from us. We were about to uproot our lives for a stranger half way across the globe. I won't bother to know him. I'll make life a living hell there. Max and Gabe are the reason we have to go anyways since they reached out to him a couple months ago.
They were so excited, and I can't imagine my life without my brothers, they were my best friends so I guess off to the shitty country of America where all they eat is processed foods and have an orange for a leader.
"I understand mama, I just can't imagine my life without France, it's so horrible in America, why makes us and out of all the states he chose to live in VERMONT?!? He's definitely an idiot" I screeched.

"You're not wrong Natalia, it is rough in America but I wouldn't send you off if I knew you would be in any danger. You will continue modeling in the summer and we will stay in touch everyday. I promise life in America isn't all that bad, you'll make friends and maybe not even want to leave after all".

Mama wasn't wrong, I could always finish modeling in the summer, it's not like her company was going anywhere. My mama had a fashion company that worked exclusively with vogue and Louis Vuitton and all the famous name brands you can think of. We lived in a huge apartment right around the block from the Eiffel Tower, mama sent us to an all private school for boys and girls. There we learned English, Spanish, German and even a even a little mandarin. Since the school is so exclusive the choices of boys are very limited. The titled French boys, whose fathers basically bought them into future universities. How would I know? Because I was best friends with one, Leo Chevrolet, his father was the richest out of anyone that attended our school. Leo would always flirt with me and we would joke about almost everything. We were best friends, but that's just it, we were only friends. See Leo liked me for the longest time, but I could never see him like that. There was no butterflies, no sparks. I figured that out when he tried to kiss me a few weeks ago and I pulled away. We haven't talked much since. And when word got to my brothers that Leo tried something, they went crazy and beat Leo up for kissing me, knowing that I am forbidden. Always have been to all the guys at school, I've never had a boyfriend, and I'm an 16 year old virgin. Great.
Although it's not all bad, it gets old having older brothers who have been tied to you since birth. They constantly fear I'm going to be taken advantage of or used or get my heart broken.

I rushed to my room, looked out the window to watch the France sunset, for one of the last times. It's so beautiful here, the orange and pink rays colored up the sky eventually revealing the night, where the Eiffel towers shimmered and revealed why Paris was called the city of love.

"Hey can we talk? it's been a weeks and I miss laughing with you and seeing your beautiful smile" ~ Leo

My brothers were way harsh on Leo, that I've been too scared to even call him. I'm an horrible person and best friend, Leo can't control his feelings.

"Hey...yea we can talk tmrw meet me @ the spot"~Natalia

"Okay can't wait" ~Leo

Was I cruel for this? was I giving him false hope? I'm pretty sure he got the message anyway, I will just meet him at the Puree cafe, our spot ever since we discovered it when we were 12.
