I understand why they do it— especially after Stain, she thought.

She had been walking home from the store when a man broke through the glass window of the bank in front of her, most heroes really do only fight for the money and fame. They aren't any better than the villains.

She froze as the robber came running towards her but he wasn't what made her freeze. Running over a wave of flames was the so called hero Endeavor.

The robber shoved her out of the way and she fell to her hands and knees. The bags in her hands crashed on the cement. Fish and tea splattered onto the sidewalk. Her bare knees stung as the pavement sanded them on her way down.

He can handle it, she thought as Endeavor came up from behind her, running after the man. She could feel the heat on her face as he let out a blow of fire.

Not exactly sure why people still think he's a good guy, she thought as she got up, smoothing her skirt down. He cooked that criminal to a char.

The smell made her gag.

The cameras were there faster than the paramedics but she wasn't waiting for either of them. She was cleaning up her newly made trash off the sidewalk. One thing she hated more than what was going on with the heroes and villains was what was going on with the planet: pollution, climate change— humans killing their home.

She felt that heat on her back again.

"Sorry about your groceries, miss," she heard him say from behind her.

Todoroki might hate his father more than anything but he still found himself watching him on the news.

"Don't apologize just because your PR told you that you needed to be nicer now that All Might is gone."

Todoroki's eyes widened, turning up the volume. He stared at the girl who just spoke on the screen: scraped knees, long flowing curls, and... was her expression shy? Scared? After saying that to him?

His father tried to laugh it off and try to help her pick up her things. Todoroki watched in amazement as she slapped his hand away... and bowed her head.

"I do not need your help, thank you."

He thought he saw a spark of recognition in his fathers eyes.
