"Oh no..."

Finn let out a groan as he pulled the broken remains of the sunglasses out from his suitcase. Having only recently arrived at the holiday resort, him and his family had arrived at their suite to unpack.

The black sunglasses had, admittedly, been cheap, but he'd assumed they'd at least last the journey.

"Well. Maybe you can borrow a pair of Brooke's?" His mum suggested, smoothing down her orange blouse. This would have been a normal outfit, but seeing as the blouse was neon orange with criss crossing yellow stripes and a lime in the center, it was his mom's "typical" look.

"No way, I've only brought one pair!" His older sister cried, much quicker at unpacking than him, seeing as she had already thrown her towel over her shoulders and was wearing her swim costume.

"Well, let's see if Jack has an extra pair."

Finn nodded, finally grabbing his swimming trunks and ducking into the bathroom to change into them.

When he came back out, Brooke was waiting impatiently by the door, sunglasses pushing her blonde hair out of her face. "Come on! Let's check out the pool!"

"Right behind ya, River." Jack, his nineteen year old cousin said, coming out of his family's room shortly followed by little Anna. Anna was seven and a half as she liked to proudly boast, and had coppery coloured hair. His aunt had married a redhead, and only their daughter had inherited that trait.

Jack, had his mother's icy blue eyes, naturally soft light brown hair and a huge grin that Finn had also inherited. When they were younger, they used to be mistaken as brothers.

"My name is Brooke, doofus." His sister went to whip their cousin with the towel, but he sidestepped and playfully whipped her back with his.

"Hey, don't kill each other, and do you have an extra pair of sunglasses?" Finn stepped in.

Big mistake asking Jack of all people.

His cousin returned, brandishing a pair of pink, heart shaped sunglasses. "I think these will suit you perfectly!!"

"No-" Finn took a few steps backwards, then began running towards the pool.

Brooke laughed, grabbing them off Jack and chasing after her brother, waving them around above her head.

"Where are you going!! You forgot your sunglasses!" She cried, as they left the hotel and entered the courtyard.

It had stone tiles which were warm underfoot, and a rectangular, white tiled pool with two ladders on both of the long sides.

Anna rushed out after everyone else, following behind Jack and giggling loudly.

Overall, they made quite the entrance.

"Stop that! People are looking at you!" Finn's aunt exclaimed, stepping outside, shortly followed by his mum, who was wearing-

Oh no. He groaned inwardly. Not the pineapple costume.

The notorious Pineapple costume was his mum's favourite, despite both her children begging her not to wear it. The body of the swim costume was a pineapple printed, with large green ruffles around the straps. As Brooke had said on multiple occasions: It would look good on Anna but when you wear it, it's just embarrassing!

"Look, there's some deck chairs over there-"

"I wanna go swimming!"

"Wait for your sunscreen to dry first Anna," Aunt Sarah said, throwing her towel over a deck chair and pulling out her book. Her sister copied her, whilst both her children completely ignored her warning about getting in the pool, and jumped straight in.
