The woods

Will, Lucas, Will, and Maxine were sitting in the Wheelers basement in silence waiting for mike to come downstairs.

Earlier that day the party were in the same position all talking
"Lucas do u think u can make it to the skatepark tomorrow? You haven't came in a while"
"No he probably has all of his cool friends to hang out and get wasted like he always does" Dustin interrupted. "Oh shut it Henderson" max says "and stop interrupting the conversation I wasn't talking to you" the party laughs,
"Yeah I hate for Dustin to be right but Debby Taylor is having a party tomorrow night and the boys will kill me if I don't go" he winced "the BOYS" the redhead scoffs. "What's so funny about "the boys"?" "I don't know it just sounds funny to say "the boys"" she laughs.
"It sucks u can't go but we get it maybe another time" mike says "yeah" they all agree.

All of a sudden everyone jumped when they heard a glass break on the floor and loads of shouting coming from upstairs, everyone immediately knowing what it was coming from.
Mike sighed and got up "I'll be right back" the party nodded with a hopeful smile as he walked up from the basement.

When mike walked upstairs he saw his parents arguing like crazy he swore he could go deaf right then and there with all the screaming. His mom was in the kitchen cleaning up a plate that has smashed on the floor which he didn't wanna know how that happened, with holly sitting in the kitchen counter half asleep because she was supposed to be asleep an hour ago but obviously since Karen was arguing with ted holly's bedtime complete went out of her mind, and his dad on the couch switching threw the channels rather angrily while screaming about something his mother had said.

Mike was never one to pay attention to his parents arguments as he was completely over it and not interested at all, so he picked up holly and said "hey mom I'm gonna put holly to bed she looks tired"
Karen stopped mid sentence, turned to mike and smiled "thanks honey" she smiled then went straight back to shoutings, mike didn't say anything just picked holly up from the counter and started walking upstairs with her.

Mike tucked in holly and said goodnight, just as he was about to turn the light off and leave the blonde girl spoke up. "Mike?" "Yeah holly?" "Why do mom and dad fight?" She said in a sad tone, mike sighed "I- I don't know holly.. it'll get better tho, promise"
"Pinky promise?" She lifted her finger and mike walked over and linked pinky's holly. "Pinky promise" he slightly smiled. He said goodnight and closed the door.

Just as he was about to go down the basement he heard the screaming getting louder and louder. At this point he couldn't take it so he took his headphones from his room, he took his skateboard and walked down to the basement to leave threw that door so his parents wouldn't say anything, he didn't even take notice to the party asking where he was going he was so caught up in his anger he just needed to get away and started skating fast and further away from his house as he could hear the screaming getting quieter, he put in his headphones and started playing "devil town" by cavetown, he nodded his head to the music while skating down the streets as he got to a forest.

Mike thought to himself he might as well have a bit of an adventure while he's out here so he got off his skateboard and started walking in the woods.

He never got scared of the darkness let alone scary creatures or any type of shit like that, in fact he found comfort in things that most people found "scary", well he's never really had the chance to go to a forest and hear a scary noise or see someone spooky so he figured that he shouldn't worry about stuff like the darkness and forests.

MIKES POV:

As I was walking threw the woods I swear I heard something so I took one of my earbuds out being able to slightly hear the music coming from the headphones,
"Yeah this is nothing" I thought "yeah there's nothing here to be scared about it's literally just a shitty forest" I scoff. Just as I go to put my earbud back in I hear another noise coming from another side of where I heard it the first time,
At this point I couldn't convince myself I wasn't scared shitless I thought I was gonna die right there and then "holy shit I'm so fucking stupid who decides to come to the woods on their own and 12 pm, obviously me haha I'm so smart- idiot" I thought to myself.
I try my best not to panic and all of a sudden I feel raindrops fall on me head.. just fantastic not only am I gonna be killed I'm gonna be soaking wet in the process I shrugged.

Then shit started getting real the noises coming from the bushes were getting louder and the rain was pouring stronger "w-who's there" I say.
Wow great one wheeler. I decide that I should do something smart for once and I turn on my flashlight from my phone as the rain poured more and more I could feel my heart pound thinking "I'm about to die".

I move my torch around to see if anyone's there and jump when I see-
Woah it's a girl. She had a pixie haircut and dirt all over her she was wearing a hospital gown that's weird...
I just kinda stand there looking at her trying to process what I'm looking at. She looks... scared? Is she ok? Why does she look scared? Why is she wearing a hospital gown?
