Scorpius

The first day back passed by slowly. For the first half an hour of transfiguration, Professor Jekyll lectured us about how important fifth year is because of our O.W.L's.

The rest of the lesson we wrote down transfiguration specific words and their definitions for "better essay writing" as Jekyll constantly said.

The only interesting thing to come out of that lesson was apparently Bradley McLaggen had found a new jinx in an old book or made it himself, depending on who you asked, Ernest Chang had told me and Scorpius.

Scorpius was particularly interested in the jinx.
"You think he'll tell people what it does?" He asked for the fourth time that day, as we began to walk back to the castle after care of magical creatures.

"My moneys on him using it on a first year."
"Or us. He never got you back for making his trousers vanish in charms."

Shit. I'd forgotten about that.

"Well I got a detention for it, he seemed pretty pleased about that."
"It wouldn't surprise me if he invented a jinx, just to get you back. He's pretty stubborn."
"Most Gryffindors are. But also he didn't jinx me in charms."

"Maybe he was rusty after not doing magic over the summer."
"Scorpius can you stop trying to come up with convoluted ways that Bradley will jinx me. I just want to get to the common room."

A few minutes later we reached the great marble staircase and went down to the dungeons. The corridor leading to the common room seemed miles longer than usual. Perhaps it was because I was tired, or maybe a sixth year was playing a prank on everyone.

As we walked down the corridor, some of the torches went out. Scorpius didn't seemed to realise, he was monologuing About the work load of this year.

"Now!"
Three people appeared before us. I reached for my wand.
"Verecundiam!"
There was a flash and then I felt my trouser being pulled to my ankles.

"Hey!" I shouted.
There was another flash and then a click. This time I saw them.
I dropped my wand, pulled up my trousers and flew at the middle person.

"Albus?"
I knocked into them sooner than I thought I would and my forehead bashed their lip. We fell to the floor with a thud and ended up in a tangle.

"Albus!"
Rolling around, I managed to jab them in the side and they got me in the neck.
I grunted.

"Stop!"
He was stronger than me, and pinned me by straddling my waist and holding down my arms to the floor.

"Lumos."
Scorpius's wand illuminated the corridor. My attackers back was to Scorpius, so his face was still covered by shadows.

However other two were in full view. Tiffany Lawks stood to my right. She had blonde hair, small clear eyes and a disdainful expression. Her nose was upturned and her face was caked in pale make up.

To my left was Leonard Patil, leaning against the wall with a camera in his hand. He had a large nose and was the tallest out of the three. His eyes were yellow, and he had dark skin and short black hair.

"Get off me." I demanded.
"As you wish."
I got up swiftly and moved towards Scorpius. His expression lifted slightly when he got a good look at my face.
I turned to see him.

Now standing in the middle of the two others, was Bradley McLaggen.

He had a strong jawline and a structured face. His dirty blond wavy hair fell passed his face and down to his collar bone. His eyes were brown and laying just beneath them, freckles adorned his cheeks.

It amused me that because of the fight he looked unkempt. The top three out of the seven buttons on his shirt were either missing or unbuttoned, his hair was no longer tied back and his bottom lip was cut on the right side.

Bradley raised his wand.
"Incendio."
The torches that had been put out, now spring back to life and began to burn again.
"Nox." Scorpius said softly.
The light at the end of his wand dimmed until it was gone.

"Did you get it?" Bradley asked.
Leonard laughed.
"Yeah."
He handed Bradley a big polaroid.
"Nice shot."

Shit. Fuck! I'd forgotten about the picture. At least I had my boxers on, maybe I pulled my trousers up in time. Why didn't I just cover myself with my hands?! Idiot!

Bradley smirked.
"This is for last year."
"All that for me accidentally embarrassing you. That-"
"Shut up Potter!" Tiffany interrupted.
"-That was last year."

"When I heard about this jinx I thought it would be too perfect and it all worked out great. Here." Bradley held out the polariod.
"I already know whats on it!" I snapped.
"Yeah, and we're going to report you." Scorpius told them, shakily.

"As if Potter would do that. He's too proud." Bradley said.
"I am not!"
"Fine, take it, report it then." Tiffany chided.

"But just showing people this would get boring."
Bradley's eye's glinted with delight.
"If you can beat me in a duel-"
"A duel?!" Scorpius exclaimed, thoroughly shocked.

"Yes, a duel. If you can beat me in a duel, I'll let you destroy it. Or give it to Malfoy to use a masterbation material."
Leo and Tiffany laughed.

Scorpius blushed and looked at the floor.
"Just ignore them." I whispered to him.
He held out a large hand.
"Do we have a deal?"

"You're on!"

I took his hand. He raised an eyebrow and smirked. He released my hand and as soon as he did,  Tiffany threw an invisibility cloak over them and they were gone.
