I️ have to admit, I️ was mildly horrified when Jonah didn't immediately ask me to be his girlfriend. I️ mean, I know he was sad, bathos much time did he need? Amber had moved on.

But overall, the plan was going well. We were still on the verge of tearing the Plastics apart.

It was during homeroom when they were making announcements over the intercom that we found out the nominees for Spring Fling Queen.

"And finally, the nominees for Spring Fling Queen are as follows: Amber Kippen, Kira Wieners, Buffy Driscoll and Andi Mack."

I️ turned to Cyrus.

"Cyrus, you put me in there too? That's not part of the plan," I️ said.

"I️ didn't put you in there," he replied.

I️ couldn't help but smile.

"You mean I'm really nominated?"

I️ can't lie, it felt good.

However, not everything was going my way. After math class, I️ was stopped on my way out my Ms. Norbury.

"Andi. I️ need your parents to sign this so they know that you're failing," she said.

My eyes widened. I️ really didn't think my whole plan to get close to Jonah through.

"Failing?" I️ asked.

I️ was a good student. I️ had never failed a class before.

"You know what's weird about your quizzes, Andi, is that all the work is right and just the answers are wrong," she said.

I️ shouldn't've made it so obvious that I️ was faking.

"Really?" I️ asked innocently.

"Really," Ms. Norbury replied. "Andi, I know that having a boyfriend may seem like the most important thing in the world right now, but you don't have to dumb yourself down to get guys to like you."

How would she know?

"I know, how would I️ know, right? I'm divorced, I'm broke from getting divorced. The only guy that ever calls me is Randy from Chase Visa. And you know why? Because I'm a pusher. I️ push people. I️ pushed my husband into law school. That was a bust. I️ pushed myself into working three jobs," she overshared. "And now I'm gonna push you because I know you're smarter that day."

"Thanks, Ms. Norbury. And if there's anything I️ can do for extra credit, please let me know."

After school, I️ vented about the whole ordeal to the Plastics.

"I️ hate her! I️ mean, she's totally failing me on purpose, because I️ didn't join the stupid Mathletes! She was like, 'I'm a pusher, Andi, I'm a pusher."

"What does she even mean?" Amber asked.

Kira gasped.

"Like a drug pusher?" she inquired.

I️ shrugged.

"Probably. She said she works three jobs. You know, I️ bet she sells drugs on the side to pay for her pathetic divorce," I️ replied.

At that, Kira reached for the Burn Book and handed it to me.

"You let it out. Put it in the book."

It was wrong, and I️ knew it was wrong. I️ know it may look like I'd become a total jerk, but that was only because that's how I️ was acting. So, I️ wrote it down.

It got to the point where it wasn't just an act, though. It was actually becoming a part of who I️ was. I️ even started acting differently with Buffy and Cyrus.

"Hey, I️ called you last night. How come you didn't call me back?" Buffy asked.

I️ shrugged.

"Oh, I️ got busy, sorry," I️ said nonchalantly.

"So, you need a ride to my basketball game this weekend?" Buffy asked. Her team was going to the championships.

"No. I️ have to go to Salt Lake City with my parents. I'm so sorry," I️ replied.

"Well, you wanna watch a movie tonight?" Cyrus suggested.

I️ shook my head.

"Can't. I'm doing major Plastic sabotage tonight," I️ replied excitedly.

Buffy looked confused.

"But we don't have anything planned for tonight," she said.

I️ smiled.

"Oh, I️ planned this one on my own. Love you. Bye."

Later that evening, I️ texted Amber.

Me: Kira thinks you're mad at her because she's running for spring fling queen

Amber: Omg I'm not mad at her. I'm worried about her I think someone nominated her as a joke or somethingWhen nobody votes for her she's gonna have a total meltdown. And who's gonna take care of her? Me

I️ took a screenshot and sent it to Kira.

Me: Well, she's not mad at you R u ok?

Kira: I'm not taking this anymore

Me: good for you

After that, Kira and Amber weren't on speaking terms. I'm not sure exactly what Kira said to Iris, but she convinced her to go against Amber as well.

This led to them following me around the next afternoon.

"So, what are you doing this weekend?" Kira asked.

"Oh, I️ have to go out of town with my parents," I️ replied.

Iris looked at me, puzzled.

"What...?" she asked.

"We have tickets for this thing," I️ replied.

"What?" Iris and Kira replied simultaneously.

Was I️ the new queen bee?

"I️ can try and get out of it," I️ replied.

They both nodded.

"Yeah."

So, I️ convinced my parents.

"Because I️ told my friend Buffy I'd go to her championship game. It's really important to her," I️ said.

"We've had these tickets for months," my mom answered.

My dad shrugged.

"I️ think Andi's old enough to spend one night on her own," he said.

And, it went that smoothly. I️ had learned to control everyone around me.
