8 p.m.

it was your last few days of college. you were the valedictorian of your class, there was nothing left for you to do to make it any better, that's what you thought. your roommate walks in with glitter still falling off her shirt from the night before. she was an a/b student though, so you never worried but you were jealous of how she managed her free time and still maintained those grades for the past four years. "ugh oh my god, that exam was a total killer." you looked at her and laughed, "what? that's an hour and forty minutes of my life i could've spent napping to catch up on my sleep," she said. "told you not to party too hard." she looked at you with a playful shocking expression on her face, "why, i have done nothing of the sort. i never party too hard until the last party of the year," you laughed some more, "and neither will you," she suddenly sparked, "miss ' i have nothing better to do because i've got smarticle particles'" she playfully mocked you with a high pitch voice. "nu uh. no no no no no no no. i see the misery you go through the night after, i want no part in it," you simply respond. "please, come on, we barely get to hang out anymore and i always wanted to take time to really get to have fun on the night out with you!" she gives you the puppy dog eyes, which you hated..because it worked..every time. "okay, fine. it's my last few nights, not like anything can happen." she squealed with excitement, grabbed your hand, sat you down on her bed, and got to work. "alexa, play..."

you had no idea what you'd got yourself into. when she was done, you took a final look in the mirror.

you were shocked at what you saw, but honestly, you felt terrific. you were finally truly accepting this invitation because you had this feeling in your gut. maybe it was the colors in your eyes or the glitter in your hair, but you felt like there were no more eggshells to walk on. your roommate came up behind you and placed her hands on your shoulders, "are you ready," she asked, "excited...but nervous." she grabbed your hand and you grabbed your phone and keys; the two of you headed out.

the two of you waited in line with $18 in hand ready to pay. a man with headphones comes down the line with a black back and a money wallet, followed by two more people with black bags. he took the money from the two of you, and asked which pair you wanted from the bag. you made your selection, but you were rather confused. "wait, i thought this was supposed to be a party," you told your roommate, "more like a silent disco so the cops don't get called, nothing less than a party though," she said to you.

people were slowly let in to the building; they were placing their headphones on so you did the same. the volume started low but gradually got louder as people started talking and moving. you finally decided to start letting loose, and you'd never felt more free. the strobe lights, the laughter, the dancing, the drinking. it was nothing you ever thought it'd be.

an hour later, a song transitions to an upbeat drum kick, everyone around you starts to get hype with it, clapping and jumping around...everybody, put up your hands say ' i don't wanna be in love ' you were having the time of your life until you crashed into someone. you turn around to apologize, but the words won't leave your mouth one you lay eyes on each other. a boy with brown hair, green eyes, flawless, pale skin, plump lips, sweat beads fell perfectly around his structure. you didn't know whether to believe that someone so perfect was actually standing in front of you...or if it was just the drinks taking full effect. "i'm sorry," you mouthed to him. he simply smiled as you giggled, he caressed your face for a moment, but you're almost 100% sure it was to get some of the glitter out of your face. "beautiful," he mouthed back to you.

your body was sweating, but you were cold and hot at the same time. your adrenaline was pumping, and you just went in. this was something you'd truly never done before. your lips crashed onto his, and he was determined to win this battle. his hands rest on your waist as yours go separate ways. one in his hair, the other grabbing at his jacket. you feel his hands travel slightly under your bum, he grabs your thighs slightly. everything was happening, almost, in slow motion. his lips were soft like a cushion and that you'd fall on to a million times over. he slightly pulls one side of the headphones off of your ear and he has done the same. you realized how quiet it was, but your emotions were so loud at this moment. "wanna get out of here," he asked you. no words were needed. you snatched off the headphones and did his the same way. you felt like you were in a wild hallucination. there was no way a boy this beautiful could really want to be with someone like you unless he's that drunk of course.
