The Beast

I wasn't prepared for what I saw next. It was standing on my porch staring at me. A giant, huge, humongous, tall, big, oversized, scary, hairy, grey wolf stood there. It looked gruffy. And it didn't look friendly. I was frozen in fear. Was this the crash. What the hell did it break? Why am I not dead yet? Why is it looking at me? All these questions kept running through my mind. And how the hell I'm getting inside and away from this beast. He had light dull brown eyes. And I know for sure he wasn't average sized. This wolf was over 5 or 6 ft tall. And that was just on four legs! He stepped off the porch towards me. I gasped and held the bat up. A low growl came from its chest. It came closer and started circling me. My heart was beating so fast that if this wolf didn't kill me then I was going to die of a heart attack. I turned slowly watching it. It stopped. The porch was right behind me. I could make a run for it. Would I make it? Or would the Beast catch me. It had to be a He. I don't think a female wolf could get this big. I took a step back, and it growled again as if a warning not to move. The bat started to move in my hands. I realized the bat wasn't moving. It was me. I was shaking. Shaking from fear. It came even closer. So close I could feel heat radiating off of him. He was about three feet away. That was way too close for me. I looked up at him. He was looking down at me. I should have stayed inside. What the hell was I thinking? I held the bat tightly up to my chest. I've got to do something. He started growling ferociously. As soon as he took a step forward I turned and ran. Of course I didn't make it to the porch. The wolf jumped on me knocking me to the ground roughly. I let out the scream I was holding in. I turned around and met his dark evil eyes. I didn't realize I was crying until I felt them run down my face. He took a menancing step forward. I closed my eyes and waited for the impact. This was it. This is how I was going to die. Goodbye Gran! Take care of Zeppelin. Goodbye Zeppelin! I felt his breath on my face. Just when I thought it was over I felt him move away. I didn't feel his breath. I opened my eyes and looked at him. He was leaving? He growled at me before taking off. Almost as if to say I'll be back. Why did he leave? I stood up and grabbed the bat. I was about to run when I heard a rustling noise in the forest. Oh my god. He's coming back. Before I could even move an even bigger wolf came out. He was about eight or something feet tall. He was black with forest green eyes. I was about to make a break for the porch but a light brown wolf about seven feet was standing there. Where the hell did all these damn wolves come from. Was it a migration? Do wolves migrate? Argh! I hate myself for my short attention span. The black and brown wolf must have scared the grey wolf away. The black wolf came towards me. It was almost three feet away. I put the bat out in front of me. Tears were still rolling down my face. The wolf took its paw and slashed it away. I gasped and fell to the ground. And finally it reached about a foot away. I looked up at it. From the sizes of these wolves I'm guessing they're male. The wolf and I looked at each other. Was this one going to kill me? It bent it's head down towards my face. I heard myself stop breathing. It licked me. It licked the tears off my face. Holy shit! He's gonna eat me! He must felt my fear because He laid down at my feet. He put his head on his paws and whined. I heard steps behind me. The brown wolf did the same. As if they were submitting to me. Slowly I reached my hand and touched the black Wolf's head. It responded by a purring sound. Wolves purr? I'm just full of questions today. I reached to pet the brown wolf. He had his tongue out like a dog. He was acting almost like a puppy. These wolves weren't going to hurt me. They protected me from the grey wolf. I slowly stood up. And so did they. It scared me and I froze. They noticed this and whined. They didn't want me to be afraid of them. What am I? The wolf whisperer. Haha Wolf Whisperer. I heard myself giggle at that. The black wolf tilted his head as if to say What's so funny? "I thought of myself as the Wolf whisperer. Made me laugh." If Anybody would have seen me they'd think I would be crazy. Standing here with two giant wolves saying I'm the Wolf Whisperer. I shook my head. "I'm going crazy. I'm talking to wolves. And now I'm talking to myself. Yep I'm crazy." The wolves looked confused. But had a grin like look. Like if they could they'd be laughing. I stared at them. They're like oversized dogs. I looked at the brown one with his sandy brown fur and baby blue eyes. They reminded me of Matt. I smiled. "You're going to be Robin and you," I said turning to the black wolf "are going to be Bruce. Like Batman and Robin, if you two knew who they were, but you don't so I don't know." I shook my head. I hear a meow. We all look to see Zeppelin jumping off the porch and running to me. I must have left the back door open. Moron. I thought to myself. "Zeppelin! What do you think you're doing out here!" I pick her up. "Bad Kitty!" The wolves are looking at me and Zeppelin is just purring. Ireallyneedsomefriends. I'mtalkingtoanimalsnow. "Okay Bruce and Robin, I've gotta go. You've gotta go hunt or something and there's a book calling my name so Peace and be careful." I said before walking away. They looked at me as I walked to the porch and went inside with Zeppelin. I must be going insane. Not only did I almost die from a wolf but I befriended two more. Wait till Gran hears this.
