Chapter Five
"Welcome to Camp Half Blood- hold on!" Annabeth announced as we plunged down toward a lake. "Oh my gods Will!" She said reproachfully once we had landed on the ground.
"As Annabeth said before, welcome to Camp Half Blood." Curran straightened up. Anders helped me off the chariot and I grabbed out packs. I turned around and saw a group of people already gathering before us.
"Annabeth! Will!" A boy of about sixteen pushed to the front of the crowd, "No troubles?" His sea green eyes scanned us for injuries.
"None," Annabeth stepped forward and hugged him. Will handed the pegasi over to a well-muscled guy with a tattoo of a rainbow on his arm...strange. Just like the rest of the people watching us. There were a lot of them who looked a lot like each other, and all of them were wearing orange t-shirts that matched Will and Annabeth's. Most of the people (and a few satyrs) that were around us had on leather Greek armor, and had swords and bows strapped to them. Everyone here was between the ages of ten to twenty...
"We met a Keres along the way over." Will told the boy with sea green eyes and jet black hair.
"What?" Another figure pushed his way over to the front of the crowd. He was a satyr too, but everyone was looking at him with some form of respect. The first thing that I noticed about him were his horns... was Curran going to get horns too? He congratulated Curran, who in turn, bleated in gratitude.
Annabeth pulled away from the boy that must be her boyfriend and looked around, "Where's Chiron?"
"In the Big House talking to Rachel," Someone called out.
"Malcolm...?" Annabeth looked around the crowd.
"Yeah, I'll go get him," another boy broke away from the crowd and sprinted off towards a, well, big house.
"So, " Anders prompted.
"Oh, forgive me, this is Percy Jackson, " Annabeth gestured to the guy standing next to her. His black hair and green eyes nagged at me, as though I had seen him before...
"....Son of Poseidon, " Annabeth was saying, "and this is Grover Underwood, Lord of the Wild and satyr. You'll meet the rest later."
"C'mon Wise Girl, " Percy nudged Annabeth as the kids all started to float away, "Let's get them to the Big House since Chiron's obviously not coming and they need to change. Are the unclaimed?"
"Er-" I spoke for the first time since arriving here (pretty rare for me).
"Unclaimed. Yo, Travis! Connor!" Will beckoned two boys who almost looked identical. The shorter of the two introduced himself as Travis Stoll, and the taller said he was Connor Stoll.
"Sons of Hermes-" Annabeth started, then stopped. "Connor! Travis!"
"Annabeth?" Connor said innocently.
A girl with light brown hair and green eyes walked over and introduced herself as Katie Gardner. Then she turned to the sons of Hermes, "This is Travis, " she pointed over to the tallest boy, "and this is Connor, " she indicated the shorter of the two, "You guys might actually want to leave your stuff in the Big House since Hermes is the-"
"God of travelers and thieves. I get it." I said before I could stop myself. Katie nodded, seeming kind of surprised.
"Exactly, "
"So when do we get claimed by our parents?" I asked after Katie and the [most likely twins] left us, bickering.
"I have no clue, but probably very soon. Like now, for..." Percy looked questioningly at Anders.
