"I'm here."
"There you're my darling." Mrs Tomlinson said. Did she just called Josslyn out and, she just pretend that nothing happens? "Yes, do you need some time or do you want to leave?"
"Gladly, let's go. Wait, Winson , I'm going to continue the deal once you fired her. Your secretary or whatever position her position is, I'm sure, you're going to negotiate it, aren't you? She's not fainted, she's just acting up like a weak bitch. How dramatic. Real pathetic."
"Thanks god, you're a saver, Miss Hill." Mrs Tomlinson grabbed me by my arm. "See you later, win!" He smiled as he nods. Josslyn is still, not moving and I swear, I really thought she's dead. She's better off dead, I said what I said.
"Ma'am?"
"Yes, sweetheart?"
"What just happened?"
She takes a deep breath, and then another. "She said that you're a slut... Sorta hoeing. You're in a relationship with your boyfriend but, you're still friends with Win. So, I defend you and she throw her heels at me. I got mad, Hayla. It wasn't nice to hear someone to say such things to you or anyone... She deserves getting stabbed. But, I'm not a murderer. Anyway, can I give you a simple advice??"
"Honey, I hate to say this to you... Actually, even if Win is your friend, nothing more. I think that you should stop talking to him? Your boyfriend probably, let you do that or trust you. The thing is, I was once like you. My bad, I broke up with my boyfriend then, my guy friend finally found himself a partner and they're married... At last, I ended up, stuck with the billionaire old man that I've no idea how he became my husband. I'm not judging you, dear. Just listen to your heart. Though, your head, tells you otherwise. This is my cue... Do you want me to send you home?" I shook my head."It's okay. He'll be here, soon." I said.
Mrs Tomlinson is like someone I look up to. She's there, when my mum isn't in the best mental state after dad passed away.
I walk to the bakery shop, not far from the company. "Isn't that Bright's car??" I take a closer look at the car plate. Bingo. "It's him... What is he doing here? Isn't he's still at the workshop...." While my eyes scanning through the people that's in the bakery shop, there's he is. I found him, sitting there with his ex. Why he didn't mentioned anything bout it? I wouldn't get mad, but why? Are they have been seeing each other during whole this time? Am I just too blind to see Bright has been acting weird lately?
I want to, walk in and lose my temper as I'm giving him a high five on his face or throw the cupcakes at both of them while screaming like a mad woman. He gets up from his seat and waves while saying goodbye to her.
"Hayla? What are you doing here??" I raised my eyebrows at him. "Why you're asking me that? That's what I'm suppose to ask you, Bright."
"Look, I, I want to talk about this. It's just, it's hard, for me... Can we go somewhere else?"
"Sure." He didn't talked, and I start to have bad feeling. "Isn't this the place we had our first date?" He stopped the car and unfastened the seatbelt. "Yes."
"Okay, straight to the point before I lash out." He takes both of my hands and "Hayla, look at me in the eyes." He said. "I don't know how to tell you. I guess, I've to rip off the bandaid. I'm, breaking up with you. I'm so sorry, Hayla. I thought we had a thing, then, I realised I'm still, living in the past..."
"After everything we went through, that's how you repay back what I did for you? Are you being serious right now?? Please, tell me it's a fucking joke. SAY SOMETHING BRIGHT!"
