"Yes we've been dating for more than a year"

Jaehyun has never regretted saying something but now he badly wanted the floor to eat him up. He looked around and seeing the cameras all pointed at him made him dizzy, to say the least. He never knew going to her house twice would lead to this.

When he came, Mr. Lee and Jieun were standing there talking to each other. Jaehyun who kind of understood what was happening took a seat.

"We want you both to fake dating. And a month or so after we'll end this with a fake breakup."

He explained as Jaehyun creased his eyebrows. How was that gonna work out? How was it gonna favor him in any way? For all he knew he would end up losing fans just due to this dating scandal which ain't even real, may I add.

"How's that possible, Mr. Lee? I will lose fans. After hearing this they will want me to get out of the group as well." Jaehyun reasoned as Mr. Lee laughed shaking his head. The old man fixed his glasses before placing it back.

"Jaehyun-ah, you clearly didn't get my point, now did you? As far as I remember I still hold power which means I'm the one who decides whether one member should get kicked out or not. And why would I want to have one of my idols leaving the company? No. Besides this fake act will be over within a month and fans will forget it soon. It won't affect you in any sort. We promise."

Jaehyun hummed. He knew he didn't have much time left to think as the dating news was blowing up on television and social media. He bit his lip nervously debating whether or not he should accept his former CEO's suggestion. He felt a hand over his and looked to his side to see Jieun smiling at him reassuringly.

"Everything will be fine. It's just a fake act after all. No feelings" she said as he nodded. Finally, he agreed to it.

Right now they were being questioned by media who, of course, were curious about the two. Jaehyun and Jieun, a visual pair and two from a high background were enough to make the media go crazy.

"Jaehyun, Mr. Lee wants to talk to you both" his manager whispered in his ear before announcing that the couple had to go back, earning protests from the reporters. Of course, how could they miss the opportunity to get some tea?

"Please Miss Jieun what-"

"She doesn't want to talk about anything. You heard that?" Jaehyun said glaring at the reporter who barged in before putting his arm around her shoulder in a protective way. She was startled but got used to it as the bodyguards and their respective managers.

"Bitches really can't get enough" mumbled Jaehyun to himself looking back at the reporters.

Once they reached SM both of them were led to one of the practice rooms. But instead of Sooman being alone the rest of NCT were present. Jaehyun, who obviously didn't expect this, was taken aback, to say the least. He could feel Jieun, who was standing next to him, stiffen as well as they got into the room.

"Wow, they were really dating?"

"Shut up xuxi. Let's just wait"

"I told you he was being suspicious."

"Boy if you don't-"

"Hendery the fqk are you doing? Keep your hands down."

"Uhm you all are here for a reason... Jaehyun please step in." Mr. Lee interrupted the boys glaring at them before smiling back at Jaehyun and Jieun who was standing there awkwardly. The two heard the murmurs.

"I...we're dating" was all Jaehyun said as Sooman raised his hand.

"Fake dating may I add," said he as the members gasped, except for eldest ones of course. They knew the truth and pressed their lips hoping that the older man wouldn't expose it to their younger members. There wasn't a chance that they would be exposed considering the fact that it affects the company's reputation as well. But due to Jaehyun and Jieun, it might get exposed making them panic.

"Don't tell me he's gonna expose us as well" murmured Johnny as Taeyong pinched his side shushing him.

"What are you two talking about?" Came a voice from the side as they both internally rolled their eyes at the skeptical male, plastering a fake ass smile which obviously ain't that slick. But they could care less.

"It's hyungs for you Hyuck. Also can't we even talk? Geez!" Johnny said as he let his eyes wander around the room making Donghyuck nod. Mark, who was standing next to him, poked his sides making him turn towards him with a frown.

"What?" He asked curtly as Mark scoffed.

"You forgot about the bet or what? Now that I won you have to treat me."

"Oh c'mon why-"

"Shush up Lee Donghyuck!" All of them visibly flinched at the authoritative voice as the mentioned one took a small bow before smiling sheepishly. He punched Mark's stomach before focusing on the couple, fake couple to be exact.

"Jaehyun and Jieun both are gonna fake date for a month. After that period they're gonna fake breakup. Now what you all have to do is to dodge questions regarding them both whenever someone comes up with it. If someone asks whether you all knew about it, say no and divert their attention to something else. We can't risk your careers either though we'll try our best to not let those questions come up."

Sooman explained as they all nodded their heads looking at the couple.

"So does that mean she's single?" Came a loud voice as Xiaojun rolled his eyes trying to calm his teammate down. Obviously, his friend had heart eyes when he saw Jieun walking inside and now that he knew the girl is single he couldn't help but say that out aloud. Sooman looked curiously at Lucas who, after realization hit him, moved back a bit from the crowd, trying to hide his face.

Jieun chuckled flustered as Jaehyun rolled his eyes at Lucas' statement. What was the younger male thinking? To hit on the girl when she's his supposed girlfriend?

"Why are you so red Jaehyun?" Taunted Ten as Jaehyun dismissed his question by saying that the room was too hot for him. Everyone knew it was a lie but didn't question him any further.

"Whatever floats your boat hyung" butted in Jaemin as others laughed along making Jaehyun shy. Why was he even getting worked up over Lucas' statement? He didn't know.

Why am I getting so worked up over that? Geez, Jaehyun! get a grip over yourself.

And I'm happy to say that the book is gonna have four or five more chapters and it's gonna end. Probably will be having a shiety ending cause this is me we're talking about but oh well.
