Jung Jaehyun, the now ex idol, was driving towards the club nearby. It has been a year since he has retired from the industry. Due to personal reasons, he decided to leave.

Things had never been the same when he released the breakup news throughout the media. Some fans were glad that their idol finally got out of the relationship while the rest who supported them were sad.

Not long after he came to know that Jieun left for the states. Nothing was heard about her afterward. He didn't try to search for her either. If there's a thing called fate they might cross their paths one day. That's what he believed.

He went through self-reflection and believe it or not he has gotten over a lot of bad habits. From wanting nothing but money to actually care for others he changed a lot.

Right now his best friend of years Mingyu is throwing a party. He couldn't miss it. Not a chance. He even promised the latter that he would be there for sure.

As soon as he reached there he was engulfed into a hug by Mingyu. Laughing softly he withdrew himself away from the other before looking around. It seemed like everyone was waiting for him. Most of them being his ex-colleagues and friends.

"Finally you decided to show up!" Eunwoo remarked as Jaehyun punched the other's stomach threatening before moving forward. He found himself in the middle of the crowd with the crowd swaying their bodies to slow sensual music. He swayed his hips sideways totally not noticing someone standing in front of him.

"Hey," the person said as Jaehyun stopped. He opened his eyes only to be met with someone oh so familiar that a gasp left his mouth. He couldn't believe that she was standing in front of him.

"I-is th-this-?"

"Of course it's Jieun. Who else?" She laughed a bit tugging her hair behind her ears. Jaehyun took a good look at the woman. She has changed a lot. She looked mature and her long hair was nowhere to be seen. She cut her hair short and her dressing sense seemed to change, Jaehyun noted.

"I'm-"

"Let's go somewhere else yea? This place is too noisy." She suggested as he nodded before saying.

"I'll let Mingyu know" she hummed as Jaehyun moved towards Mingyu who seemed to be busy wooing someone. Tapping his shoulder Jaehyun said.

"I'm sorry but I have to go somewhere."

"Going out with Jieun, right?"

"I-"

"Don't worry man. You're all good." He said as Jaehyun smiled gratefully before walking back to Jieun.

"Let's go?" He asked as the woman nodded. It's really funny how both of them were getting along with each other when in fact they didn't separate in good terms. He broke her heart and he was still guilty after knowing how much it affected the other. Maybe just maybe he'll be able to clarify himself.

"You brought a car?" She asked as Jaehyun hummed. Opening the door for her, Jaehyun passed a smile before walking towards the other side. Getting in, he turned to Jieun who seemed to be looking at him fondly.

"Aren't you going to ask me anything?" She asked tilting her head to the side as he sighed. What was he going to ask? What was he going to say?

"How have you been?" He asked as she laughed before looking back at him.

"I've been good. What about you?" She asked as he sighed. His life was a roller coaster. He faced a lot of consequences and one can say he learned a lot from those incidents that happened.
