yeah so i'm not a great writer so like i'm sorry

back story

Three months ago you got engaged to your boyfriend James even thought you have a not so small crush on a certain man named Lin-Manuel Miranda and to top everything off you've been cast in 'Hamilton'. No you didn't want to be in the spotlight and have a major role you wanted to be apart of the ensemble cast but the casting director had a different idea, you had been cast as Jasmine Cephas Jones' understudy and one of the many ensemble cast members.

Now back to the story

You roll over to look at the alarm clock which read 5:57am, 'ughhh reahersals start at 7'

"well great timing (Y/n), you've done it again" you say to yourself as you start getting ready.

just before you leave you kiss James on the cheek and watch as he stretches and wakes up

"hey love, are you on your way out?" he asks with a smile on his face

"Yeah, i don't know what time i will be back. i think Lin wants to do a couple of full dress rehearsals " you say with a smile as you turn around and start walking out of the door

"of course because Lin wants something your going to do it" he mutters to himself

"and whats that supposed to mean" you ask, not knowing it was going to start a fight 

"I don't know, maybe i want to spend time with my fiance but no its fine spend every waking moment with Lin" he yells and you sigh

"please don't start this again, we can speak about this when i get home. i love you" you say while trying to remain calm because its to early for this shit

"Yeah we will be talking about this. I love you too" he say without emotion

'yay i cant wait' you think to yourself as you leave your house.

 *TIME SKIP- halfway through practice*

you, Renee, Phillipa and Jasmine were all sitting together while all the guys were on the stage practicing Aaron burr, sir and My shot. it was already 7 pm and you were done with everything, you had run through the play twice to go over blocking and rehearsals weren't going to stop until everything was perfect

"I just don't know what to do, everything i say starts a fight" you sigh

"well what are the fights about" Phillipa asks 

"Lin mainly, James can put aside the fact i had a crush on him" you say sadly

"Uhh yeah had.."Jasmine says

"Whats that supposed to mean" you ask

"(Y/n) come on. you are inlove with Lin everyone can see it"

"Nah, my feelings for him are long gone. i mean seriously guys i'm engaged" you say while twisting your ring and glancing over at Lin who is already looking at you

you smile at him and wave, he smiles back at you and you look back down at the ring

their eyes follow yours and watch the interaction "Yeah .... Ok" they say in unison 

"anyway, i've got to be on stage next song....uh bye" you say while racing away

the rest of the rehearsal goes smoothly and after doing a full run through 3 times without any mistakes we called it a day, no one realized it was 11 30 pm.

"OK, thank you all for today i will see you all tomorrow. we will only be doing on run through tomorrow" Lin says and everyone cheers 

It's really been a long day.

*TIME SKIP - back home*

"Hey babe, i'm home. Sorry i know its late" you say sweetly and don't get a response, he must have already gone to sleep. you sigh and sit on the couch, what are you going to do. maybe the girls have a point, you were in love with Lin but you chose James. you were going to marry James. you look over to the clock 1:03am it good you don't have rehearsals until 2pm tomorrow. you fell asleep on the couch, which was good because if you walked into the bedroom you would have seen that James had all of this packed and was dreading the conversation you to were going to have in the morning.
