Buying the banana milk was easy. But giving it to her? It was hard. Seungmin was torn between giving it to her personally or just leaving it on her desk with a note. But his gut tells him to just give it to her personally because leaving it on her desk just doesn't seem like a good apology.
So here he is now, following Hyejin around in the campus with a good distance, clutching the paper bag in his hands as he rehearses what he's supposed to say. "I got you some banana milk as an apology... no no no. It doesn't sound right." He said to himself softly. "Hey, Hyejin. I'm sorry for yesterday. I got you some banana milk as an apology!" He said to himself again, shaking his head as it didn't came out well in his perspective. "No, no, I just doesn'tㅡ"
"Are you done talking to yourself." Seungmin snapped his head toward the direction of the voice, blushing as he sees Hyejin looking at her. "I can hear you, you know?" She said with a giggle, walking towards him to close the distance between them. "Besides, why are you stalking me?" She asked as soon as she's face to face with him. Seungmin blushed as his eyes widened. "N-no, I wasn't stalking you, I swear! I was just supposed toㅡ" his words were cut as soon as she heard Hyejin chuckling. "I'm just kidding, calm down." She said with a smile. Seungmin just stood there, still blushing as he was trying to find the right words to say. "What's that in your hands?" Hyejin asked, guesturing towards the paper bag. "Oh, r-right!" Seungmin said as he nearly forgot why he was following her. "Um, well, I felt bad at making you drop your banana milk when I bumped into you yesterday so I thought that buying you new ones would make up for it." He said shyly, handed her the paper bag. Hyejin opened it and gasped. "Seungmin, why did you buy three?" She asked, surprised. "I don't know, I just felt like it." He said as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Thank you." Hyejin said softly. Awkward silence engulfed between them as they stood in front of each other, not really knowing what to say. Suddenly, the school bell rang, indicating that break time is over and it's time to get back to their class.
"Let's go." Seungmin said as he nodded his head to head back. Hyejin just nodded and followed behind him, clutching the paper bag to her chest, trying her best to hide her smile.
"Ji Eun, look." Minjoo said to her friend as she saw Seungmin and Hyejin walk back to class together, having a little chat. Ji Eun looked and gasped. "He was holding that paper bag all they long and now Hyejin has it!" She whisper-screamed to Minjoo, looking at her friend with puppy dog eyes. "Looks like the new kid is gonna steal your man, Ji." She said, an evil smirk displayed on her lips. "Seungmin is mine." Ji Eun said with a pout, glaring at Hyejin and Seungmin's direction.
"Thanks again." Hyejin said, waving the paper bag a little bit before going back to her seat. "Don't mention it." Seungmin replied, heading over to his seat as well. "See, I told you Seungmin gave the bag to Hyejin!" Ji Eun cried out, clinging desperately to her friend. "Well, we need to do something about it, right?" Minjoo said, devising a plan in her mind. "Hell yeah." Ji Eun said, determined. "Well then, let's get your man back and make Hyejin's life here in school a living a hell." Minjoo said with a grin, looking over to her friend who nodded with determination.
"Seungmin is mine."
"Han Jisung, will you stop bugging me?" Hyejin said as she walked through the hallways. "I'm just asking. Help me out, please." Jisung said with pleading eyes. "So you're telling me that you want help on asking Park Minjoo out on a date because..." Hyejin trailed off, looking at the male who suddenly blushed. Jisung looked around them before leaning into Hyejin's ear. "BEcause I like her." He shyly said. Hyejin scoffed before laughing out loud, causing other people to look at her. "Sorry, sorry." Jisung said to the students who passed by, embarrassed at Hyejin's sudden laughter. "Yah, be quiet! People are looking at you as if you're a lunatic." Jisung said as he grabbed Hyejin's arms to steady the girl who's wheezing. "I'm sorry." Hyejin said as she wiped a tear from her eye. "It's just so funny that you would actually think that I'm gonna help you ask her out." She said as she tried to catch her breath. "Oh, come one, Hyejin! Help me out on this." Jisung said as he clasped his hands together and gave Hyejin the best puppy dog eyes he can muster. "But why me?" Hyejin said, finally calming down from her laughing fit. "Because, you're the only girl whom I'm close with. And since you're a girl, I figured you can help me out on buying out gifts for her or something..." Jisung said, softly saying the last part as he bashfully scratched the back of his neck. Hyejin let out a sigh, looking down on the floor as she contemplated if this is a good idea or not.
"Okay fine." She finally said after a few minutes of consideration. "Really?" Jisung said, eyes hopeful. "Only in one condition." Hyejin added in which Jisung nodded almost aggressively. "Don't bother Seungmin ever again or else this agreement is over, deal?" Hyejin said seriously, holding out her hand for a handshake. Jisung looked at her in bewilderment. "Do you like Seungmin or something? What does he have to do with any of this?" Jisung asked, a smirk forming on his lips. "He's a nice kid and I don't want you stealing away his food" Hyejin said, a slight blush appearing on her cheeks. "You didn't deny or answer my question. So that means you do like him." Jisung said with a wink, making Hyejin groan in frustration. "I honestly don't know. I just find him cute, okay?" Hyejin said in annoyance. "So are you in this or not?" She asked as she reached out her hand again in which Jisung took, shaking her hands firmly. "Deal!" He said before running off. "See you tomorrow, Hyejin-ah!" Jisung said as he ran out, making Hyejin shake her head, a small smile forming on her lips due to the boy's silly attitude.
"Whatever."
