She stared into the picture and had a chipped and cracked, but otherwise perfect, picture glare back. The father stood first from the left. Then, it was her brother, one of the twins. Next, another brother, the other twin. Her mother after. And finally, her at the end. It would seem like the perfect picture, for a perfect family.
But how could it be?
The father and mother had had four children. One of the ones was standing much further away then the rest of the family. Why? Because that one was only on there because they had to be. Mother and father did want them on there, like their oldest. But they got their way with the oldest.
Why?
The entire family may seem perfect from someone snooping around in their home, poking around in the decorations, staring closely at the pictures that were hung up. But, the family, on the inside, was completely collapsing. Like a ship suddenly starting to sink. The entire family, the {L / N}s, was known for being wealthy high-tiers that kept within society's guidelines. But two of the {L / N} children did not fit this: their oldest son and their only daughter. Their eldest and their youngest. The former had managed to get a hold of a banned book, the infamous 'UnOrdinary' and agreed with its ideas, making him become a vigilante, which his parents were completely disgusted by. The latter was exiled for another reason, she was a 'cripple'. For so many years, her parents had convinced everyone that she was just a late-bloomer and she will get an ability eventually, but all of them knew, deep down, that it would never happen.
{Y / N} had managed to slip into Agwin High School, the second best High School in the area, passed only by Wellston. And by 'slip', it was mainly her parents bribed the principal into letting her in. All of her brothers went to Agwin however only the twins went with her, her other one had already graduated. But, they left her alone, and they were only together for her first year.
Being powerless and defenceless, left her up for being crushed under the hierarchy, people starting fights from nowhere and everyone knew who she was. She went to the Nurse most days, even when she did what was advised for people like her, stay close to the walls, avoid any eye contact and make sure you do not bump into anything or anyone. There were other people who did not have abilities in the school, but they mainly targeted her as they felt 'all-mighty' by being able to easily defeat a {L / N}. She also did not have any friends because of this, whenever she did, they also got targeted. And, so, she decided it was best to keep to herself.
She did have one friend however, Rein. The two were in the same classes and even though they were completely different in the hierarchy, they were almost identical in personality. So, they got on well. {Y / N} never told Rein about the people who targeted her, but when they did start on her while she was with Rein, Rein scared them off, with her being the new Queen of the school. She also got on with other parts of Royalty like Broven, the King, and Gou, the Jack.
One day, when the two girls were strolling around the Agwin Mall when Rein had a phone call.
"Hello?" She asked into the phone, after a second, and a buzz through the phone, "Oh! Hey, Ven! What's up?" Another beat passes, "Wellston challenged us to a Turf War? Why? How do you not know?" She lets out a sigh, "When is it?" Her face drops, "In half an hour? I don't have enough time to prepare for that! I'm also at the mall with {N / N}, and I'm her ride..."
