I woke up to complete silence. I instantly knew I wasn't home and indeed last night wasn't a dream. I've never heard it so quiet in my life. Usually I have the tv running all night along with the fan depending on what time of year. It's weird to say but If someone were to drop paper I'd hear it sway on the way down. Something as light as that making a sound would be crazy to think of but it's true in this situation. I sat up and looked around the room. I couldn't see anyone. The tv was off and a blanket that must have been on me had fallen on the floor. I must have slept well because I didn't wake up throughout the night like I was use to. I rubbed my eyes just to make sure it still wasn't a dream. I looked on the floor to see a makeshift looking bed made of of pillows and blankets. Where could Namjoon be? I picked my phone up to see the time. 4:30 am it read. Makes sense why no one would be up and about yet. I fluffed the pillow that I had slept on and lid back down. I stared at the ceiling for a bit and then I heard a door creak open. Footsteps got louder as it came towards me. I could hear the person breathing but couldn't pinpoint who it was. Eventually the sounds went to the side of me and I herd the pillows and blankets shuffle on the ground so I turned my head.
"Oh I didn't mean to wake you" namjoon said.
I smiled. I didn't expect to fall asleep here last night but I guess that's what I get for early a morning the day before. At least I was taken care of nicely it seems.
"No worries I was already awake" I said back.
The silence I herd was no longer. I could hear his breathing as I watched his chest rise and fall.
"Did you sleep good?" He said.
I can't remember much of last night once I arrived here. I can remember the sound of the boys talking and of the movement that they did. I could also remember the sound of the tv playing sports in the background. If asked what was said or seen I wouldn't be able to tell you. I can only remember the back of my eyelids.
"Very well" I said.
By now he had his eyes closed so I turned my head back. I can remember falling asleep sat up cuddled into him. He must have ever so slightly laid me down and then covered me up. I'm a light sleeper so it must have been soft movements or maybe I was just in a extreme deep sleep to not feel it. I felt bad for him having to sleep on the floor especially since he could have slept elsewhere. Maybe he just wanted to be close to me.
"Hey, are you still awake?" I whispered.
He didn't respond so I looked over at him again. I could tell he was asleep because his breathing had slowed down. There's just something so calming with watching someone's chest rise and fall. He looked so peaceful spread out on his back despite the fact that the pillows probably didn't do much for a mattress. I rolled off the couch and onto my knees. I tried to be as quiet as I could as to not wake him. I reached for my pillow and my blanket before crawling over to him. I ever so lightly laid both down. He didn't stir. I cuddled into him and then finished covering myself up. I laid their for awhile with my eyes opened. I wasn't wanting him to wake up but at the same time I couldn't wait to talk to him again. I put my head on his chest so I could hear his heartbeat. My head rose up and down to his breathing. I wish I could stay here forever. I slowly shut my eyes and drifted off again.
"Wake up" a voice said.
I could hear the voice echo in my dreams as I opened my eyes. An alarm sounded ringing in my ears but I couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from as it was behind me. I didn't want to move.
"Wake up" the voice said again.
By now I could feel Namjoon stirring. His arms already over his head had stretched further as he made a noise yawning. He settled back into the same position he started with as I felt one of his arms come back down and onto my back.
"Come on" the voice said again.
I could feel Namjoon lift his head and turn it from side to side. His eyes must have been opened because the person behind me had turned off the alarm. I could hear the springs in the couch as the person plopped onto it.
"Good morning" I herd Namjoon say.
I wasn't sure who he was talking to but I assumed it was me. He reached with his other hand and pulled my hair away from my face. Now I could tilt my eyes upwards to see that his head was up and looking down upon me.
"Good morning" I said as I gave in and moved my head to look at him.
His smile light up the room as he looked down at me. Those dimples melt me every time and I just had to smile back at him. He sat up a little to kiss me on the forehead.
"What was that for?" I said.
"Just to help you wake up" he said as he started to lightly push me off to get himself up.
I rolled over on my back and watched him as he walked away towards the main bedroom. Jungkook who was on the couch had gotten up and followed him. I was happy to see him because I thought I was going crazy dreaming about alarm clocks but it was just him thankfully. I decided it was time to get up also. I started to pile the pillows and blankets up neatly in the corner under the tv before moving myself to the couch again. Chatter behind me started up as people were waking up. I looked behind me to see Namjoon, Jungkook, Hoseok, Taehyung and Jimin come out of the main bedroom. Pitter patter I herd them all scurry across the room and into the other bedroom. The springs from the bed could be heard from the outside. Also squealing and other loud noises of course. They're loud! I'm just happy I wasn't woken up this way I thought to myself. One by one all the members filed out of the room. Some a little slower then others of course. Most of them went straight to the dining table but others got lost upon the way. I herd a door close so I assumed someone went to the bathroom while Yoongi plopped next to me on the couch staring at his phone.
"Come over!" Namjoon said from the dining table.
I turned around to make sure he was talking to me. Sure enough he was looking right at me waving what looked like a pamphlet or something. I got up off the couch and walked over to sit next to him at the table. He handed me a menu.
"Room service?" I ask.
I took it and opened it up. I haven't seen such a filled menu on just the breakfast side alone. Anything you could imagine was listed from waffles, pancake and more the traditional dishes of course that included eggs. Scrambled, fried, sunny side.... They even had many different syrup options along with different percentages of milk which I've never witnessed on a menu before. I was overwhelmed reading all the options. I could hear the others around me yelling out what I'll assume was their order as Namjoon wrote it down.
"What do you want?" He asked.
"I'll take waffles I guess" I say.
I watch him as he wrote mine down next to the rest. He dialled a number on his phone and then got up and walked into the main bedroom. Everything was a little awkward for a few minutes. Everyone around me was engaging in conversation that I couldn't understand so I just sat there. I could half see the view of the building across from us through the curtain but that was pretty boring. You think a room this nice looking would have had a nice view at least. By now the bathroom door opened and Taehyung snuck out and sat on the couch next to Yoongi.
"What did you get?" I herd a voice say.
I quickly looked back to the table in front of me. Everyone at the table was still busy in conversation except for Jungkook who was looking at me. He had his arms crossed and leaning back on the chair.
"Huh? Me?" I said.
He looked at me; nodded and smiled.
"Waffles. What did you order?" I say.
Jungkook uncrossed his arms and grabbed a sugar pack on the table. He tore the packet open and sprinkled in on the table then proceeded to draw something in it.
"Omelette" he said.
I nooded my head. "That sounds good!"
I couldn't help but wonder what was even going on inside his head at this particular moment but it got cut off when Namjoon came back and tapped me on the shoulder. He pulled his chair closer to me and sat down.
"You do realize I have to leave today." He said.
I could feel the disappointment rush over me and I'm sure he could sense it. I totally forgot that he had a flight later today so that he could finish the tour. This was probably the only chance I'll ever get to see him so I decided to lean over on him. His response was to wrap his arms around me.
"What time is the flight?" I said.
"10" he said.
I gave a sigh. I knew there wasn't much time left before his flight especially with him being busy all the time. I looked around for a clock and luckily there was one in front of me on the tv stand. It read 6:00am which confirmed my initial thought.
"Wish time would slow down" I said as I looked up at him.
I waited for a few seconds and he didn't respond. He didn't even look down at me. He just stared into space. His only reaction was to just hug me tighter. I followed his eyes to look at what he might be staring at but it was just the wall so he was probably just lost in thought. I herd the door bell ring and then Taehyung ran to the door and looked through the peep hole. He then turned to wave his hand. Namjoon jumped and took his arms off me so I sat up. It was made sure that no one entered the room before he scooted his chair away from mine. I knew why he moved so quickly but it came as a shock at first. It was for everyone's safety that any type of relationship keep quiet. I wasn't told directly that it was the case but I assumed it was the reasoning. The door was opened and two men came in pushing the carts full of food. By now Suga made his way over to the table and sat next to me. His food was already waiting and he started to eat. As the men continued to pass out the food everyone kept silent. I guess that's the only thing that keeps them in one place. The only sound that could be heard was the plates being laid and trays being opened. With everyone having a different items on the menu it smelt just like a restaurant. So many different smells. Some sweet and some salty. Once finished the men gathered up the covers of the trays and proceeded to push the carts out of the room. As soon as the door shut everyone started to laugh. Confused of course I looked at Namjoon who was scooting his chair back over to me.
"What's funny?" I say.
Still laughing he pulled me in a hugged me.
"Just the fact that we all panicked" he said.
I giggled even though I didn't fully understand what was so funny. I looked down at my meal that was steaming. The plate was piled high and it smelt amazing. I reached for the blueberry syrup and poured some on before grabbing my utensils to cut it. By now the boys were all eating. They were completely ignoring the outside world and even digging into each other's plates. The whole table looked like a buffet and that's how they were treating It. I finished cutting my waffles up and went to take my first bite.
"Here try this first" Namjoon said as he put his fork towards my mouth.
I opened my mouth and turned to him. He was smiling. He had ordered pancakes that was topped with all sorts of fruit and then had poured plain syrup on it.
"How is it?" He said.
"Soo good" I said after I swallowed.
I turned back and began to eat mine. I have to say this was the best tasting waffles ever. Perfectly crisp and not too sweet. With every bite my mouth watered for more. Everyone around me seemed to be thinking the same of their meals as most plates were close to empty. Taehyung actually had gotten up from the table. He peeped through the curtains and looked out the window before heading back to his room. The sun was now blaring through. I couldn't see the sky that well but I assumed it was sunny. I was hoping for a clear day for easy travel for the boys so this was a good sign. A few of the other guys got up from the table as they finished also. My plate wasn't even half finished but I decided I was full. I pushed it aside and sat back waiting for Namjoon to finish.
"Oh are you done?" He said as he laid his fork down to wipe his face.
He handed me a napkin.
"I'll go get ready. You stay here." He said as he got up and headed to the main bedroom.
I looked back at that table as soon as Namjoon closed the door. The chairs surrounding was pretty much bare now. All that was left at the table was jimin, Jin and myself. jimin who across from me was sat back and on his phone. He was glued to it and didn't respond as Jin tried to talk to him. So Jin got up and walked into the main bedroom also. An awkward silence filled the room when that door closed again. The boys are unbelievably busy so it's understandable for them to take any chance they can get to be on their phone. It's probably the only time they can feel somewhat normal. I decided to reach in my pocket and haul my phone out also. I first checked Facebook but nothing special was on my feed. Mostly photos my friends daily lives as always. Pretty boring if you ask me. I then went to Instagram. This was filled with concerts photos from last night! It was so nice to relive that moment. As I was scrolling a message popped up from my friend. I clicked on it.
"How was last night?" She said.
I smirked as I thought back on all that happened since she had left. This has felt like a dream the entire time and I'm sure I'll have lots of explaining to do once I get home to her. She won't stop bugging me till she gets every bit of information out of me possible. So I started to type.
"It was..." I got cut off as someone grabbed my phone.
I looked up and seen Namjoon looking down on me. He was standing as tall as ever all airport ready.
"I'll tell her it was amazing with a winky face" he said as he winked at me. He proceeded to send the message and then he passed my phone back.
"How I look?" he said as he backed up and posed.
I nodded my head as I looked to see what he was wearing. He was dressed in all black from head to toe. A long sleeve shirt with jeans and of course paired with sneakers and sunglasses. A sweater was wrapped around his waist. The only thing that stood out was his silver hair in which he had almost completely covered with a baseball cap that was turned backwards.
"Looking good" I said as he stepped towards me.
He held out his hand and pulled me up from the chair and into a hug. It was the tightest hug I've ever felt but it was comforting.
"I'm going to miss you" he said as I finally gave in and hugged him back.
The realization finally hit that this moment was soon to end. I could hear the clock ticking behind me with the time passing. It was now 7:30 am. I didn't want to let go of the past with him. I wanted this moment to last forever. These two short days were the best days in my life. I still can't believe it's him.
"I don't want you to leave" I said as I hugged tighter.
His flight was soon and there's always this chance that this may be the last I see of him. I wonder if this was a one night thing that artists tend to do or was it something more. Of course I hope it's something more because it felt different from everything I've ever felt before.
"I'll see again soon don't worry" he said as he let go and took out his phone and waved it in front of me. "I have your number remember"
I was completely taken back for a second as I totally forgot that he had my number. This all seemed unreal to me almost like a dream. A dream that I didn't want to wake up from. Namjoon grabbed my hand and turned me to walk towards the couch. By now all the boys were gathered across the main part of the room. Some were at the table and others were gathered around the tv. I honestly hadn't noticed them come out from the rooms as I was in my own little world with Namjoon for a bit. We sat down on the left side of the couch with Jimin and Taehyung on the right. Namjoon instantly wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer to rest on his shoulder. On the tv it was showing the news and a short reflect on the concert and what the boys had done during their stay in America. It's crazy to think I'm here with them right now. It was a weird feeling. It wasn't me watching them from a distance and fangirling like I use to. I was literally in the room with them all. My thoughts were cut off by sound of Namjoons voice.
"I have a taxi called for you to have a ride home" he said. "It should be arriving shortly"
You could probably see the disappointment that washed over me as those words came out of his mouth. It was words that meant our time would soon come to a end.
"I don't want you to leave" I said as lifted my head and looked up at him.
He looked down on me and I could tell he wasn't the happiest about this situation either. His hand came up to push my hair away from my forehead so that he could kiss it ever so gently.
"I'll work something out so we can see each other soon don't worry" he said.
I laid my head back on him. I tried to hold on to the moment but i just kept reminding myself that this will be the last time we see each other in god knows how long. I wanted to capture the smell of him or the way it felt when he would hug me. I just wanted something to hold onto to remember when he's gone. Time seemed to speed up as everything around me went in fast motion. The boys were chatting. I couldn't understand what was being said around me but they threw English words in their conversations to make me feel comfortable but eventually a knock on the door made everyone silent.
"Oh that must be for you" Namjoon said as he took his arm off me.
He stood up and held his hand out to pull me up.
"For me?" I say as I get on my feet.
Namjoon nodded his head as he quickly hugged me and headed to answer the door. The time has come to leave him and I'm honestly devastated. I feel like we had bonded closely in the short time frame we were together. I wouldn't be able to dream of a time like this. I never expected to meet my idol and be this close to him. A dream come true.
I was interrupted as I made my way towards the door.
"Wait, Hug?" jimin said as he stood up from the couch and walked towards me with open arms.
I hugged back. He was so gentle and smelled delicately of vanilla surprising. I instantly wondered if my friend had gotten a chance to smell him also because I'm sure I won't live if down if so. She's probably home waiting on my arrival to hear how things went down.
"Come on" I heard Namjoon shout from across the room.
I let jimin go and headed quickly towards the door. I was greeted by a familiar face.
"I'll be out by the elevator waiting to escort you to your taxi, ma'am" he said.
The man left and the door closed.
"You remember Greg right?" Namjoon said as he made sure the door was shut before hugging me yet again.
"Of course" I said as I looked up at him "he helped me to the room last night right". Namjoon looked down at me with his cheesy smile and dimples showing.
"I don't want you to-" I tried to say but got cut off by a quick peck on the lips.
"We'll see again soon" Namjoon said as the boys behind us started cooing at us.
Namjoon told them to shh as he wrapped took his sweater off. He flipped it over me and then tied it around my waist.
"Here's something to remember me by" he said.
You could tell he didn't want to make the exit long. He opened the door and waved me on. I walked out and turned to watch the door close behind me. This is it. All that happened the past two days was now in the past. I walked towards the elevator to find Greg patiently waiting.
"Hello Ma'am. Are you ready to leave?" Greg said.
I nodded as he turned to click the button to bring the elevator to our floor. You could hear the gears turning as the elevator rose up to the floor we were on. As the door opened another wave of sadness washed out me. Greg waved his hand to allow me to walk on first. Unlike last night the elevator was playing soft music this time. We both stood silent as the doors closed and it started to Descend. I tried to listen to the music but I kept thinking about Namjoon and that kiss instead. Although it was short lived I'm sure that moment will replay in my mind lots. His lips were soft and I could still taste the chapstick he had used. The elevator eventually came to a stop and opened its door bringing me back to reality.
"Follow me" Greg said as he headed out.
This area was a underground parking lot. You could hear the echo of car tires circling around looking for parking spots and even a scatter honking from a vehicle. My attention was caught when I seen a bright yellow taxi across the parking lot. Greg lead me through a cross walk and then opened the taxi door for me.
"Drive safe" Greg said as he handed the driver  a envelope as I jumped in.
"Where are we headed?" The driver said as he turned to look at me.
I fastened my seatbelt as I told him where I lived.
"Oh I know your mom actually" he said as he put his car in gear and headed off.
"Oh wow!" I said.
He went off talking about how he meet my mom but I didn't listen. I laid my head on the window half watching things as they went by while the other half thinking about earlier. It's crazy to think that you can miss someone you just meet.. how you can fall in love with someone you barely know. With every bump I could feel the vibration in the widow with my head. My thoughts were just as shook up. Eventually we pulled up to my house. It was time for me to go back to normal. To act as if the past two days didn't happen.
"Thank you" I say to him as I get out and head to my door.
The pathway seemed like it took forever to reach to my door way. With every step I dreaded the thought of not being with him. I untied the seater from my waist and brought it up to my nose so I could smell it. Of course it smelled just like him. Fresh cut grass lingered in the background and birds chirped. Namjoon would love the birds I thought to myself as I unlocked the doors and turned the knob. Back to normal life officially.
