Dreaming on Ice (DISCONTINUED)

~Part 11~

~3 POV~

The teams made their way to the rink, with Hinata, Oikawa, Viktor, Yuri and Yurio leading the way.

There was some idle chatter along the way.

They walked in and receptionist greeted them "The rink is all yours." She smiled

"Thank you!" Hinata smiled

The teams sat on the bleachers closest to the rink, they all sat in a big group.

Hinata and Oikawa went and changed.

When Hinata walked out, they were all in a daze, he wore a tight, sky blue one piece. With white frills going down the side. And it was sparkly. His skates were a nice white with some light blue edging.

He skated over to them first.

"You guys ready?" He smiled nervously

Most nodded and then... Bokuto just had to ask "So.. how did they become your father's?" It was an innocent question, he didn't know. But instantly regretted it, seeing the boy freeze and the look on his face.

"Ah.. well.. uh, Viktor, can you explain? I-Im gonna go start.." he turned around swiftly to the middle of the rink.

"S-sorry.." Bokuto instantly went into his emo mode.

"Don't be, most of us were curious." Akaashi tried to reassure him.

The music started and all eyes were on Hinata, tho Viktor began telling them the story at the same time.

"Well.. His mother was my friend for a long time. We would practice together, and watch each other compete. She was my maid-of-honor at Yuri and I's wedding. I watched Sho grow up... You kids might not remember her, but your coaches might." He tired to face them "Do any of you remember the figure skater Helena Hera? Or the nickname she went by, Ice Devil?"

Ukai looked at him "I do. She was a 6 time gold medalist. Didn't she die competing on the final stage of the Grand Prix?" He asked

Viktor nodded "She had been exhausted, Sho was 7 at the time. She was a single parent, Sho's biological father died a few weeks after he was born. She stepped out of a jump, very wrong. The jump was near a wall, her skate ended up digging into the ice, throwing her head first into the wall..." He started to tear up "I watched it all happen, right in front of me. I'll never forget the sound. Yuri and I were the first on the ice to go check on her. She wasn't responding and the back of her head was bleeding badly. They got her to the hospital, but she died a few hours later. She hit her head so hard her skull cracked, lodging a piece into her brain, and causing server internal bleeding. There was no way they could have saved her..." A few more tears slipped from his eyes.

He continued after pausing for a moment to regain himself "Sho was up in the stands, he watched it happen, tho I don't think he remembers it well. It was hard telling him, his mother was gone. He cried for days and refused to go to any rink. Yuri and I discussed it, and decided on adopting him. I mean, we were practically already father figures, and we decided it was best. A few weeks later we got the forms, the week after that we got confirmation, saying Sho was now our son. He was so happy. He hadn't smiled in so long. Seeing how he felt about us brought joy into our hearts." He smiled while Sho's performance was coming to an end.

"He skates for himself, but mostly for her. He knows she'd be proud of how far he's come. Last year tho.. we had a scare. He had apparently seen his mother in the crowd in the middle of a jump. He landed wrong and hit his head. Thankfully he only suffered a concussion, I don't think I could have lost him the same way we lost his mother..." He sighed "Yuri and I love him. Yurio has grew up along side him, and had always been there to talk to him, when he wouldn't talk to us. He may come across as a stuck up brat, but when it comes to Sho... That's a different story" Viktor giggled

Hinata's performance then came to an end, They have all been listening to Viktor, while still in aw by Hinata's performance. They all stood and cheered, causing Hinata to blush profusely.

"His past is honestly so heartbreaking. It's amazing how well he shows it in his skating too." Suga smiled softly at the small crow.

"I can't believe I'm even saying this. But I feel a bit bad for teasing him so much now." Tsukishima sighed

Hinata skated towards them, Kenma stood up and raced to him, engulfing him in a hug. "That was beautiful Shouyo." "Thank you Kenma.."

"Ah! Kenam I didn't even see you! It's nice to see you again!" Viktor came over to them.

"You too Viktor." Kenma said shyly

"Wait.. what? H-how..?" Kuroo asked

"Shouyo and I are close friends. He tells me everything."

"Kenma has come over a few times to play games." Hinata shrugged
