Chapter 9

Lisa was currently cleaning her camera. She couldn't bear to see a single speck of dust on her precious gem, which she deemed necessary to keep safe at all times. It was already 6:40, and she had already finished preparing all her belongings for her upcoming class. With some spare time left, she decided to devote it to cleaning her beloved Canon camera.

"Daddy is going to clean you, baby girl. Daddy wants you to be perfect every time I hang you on my elegant neck," she cooed, addressing her camera with a baby voice. After finishing the task, her phone signaled a notification, so she grabbed it and unlocked the screen.

Liliiiiii~ where are you?? Everyone is already here at the cafeteria, and you're still missing :(

Lisa glanced at her watch and then tapped the reply option.

To Nini

Oops! Sorry, Nini! I was cleaning my camera, but I'm done now, so I'm on my way. See ya!

After that, she placed her camera carefully on the cabinet, handling it as though one wrong move could shatter it into small pieces. She then grabbed her bag and fixed her hair. She didn't really mind if it appeared slightly messy, as she managed to maintain a gorgeous look.

*Ding!

She looked at her phone and smiled.

Okay, so where are you now? Don't tell me you just replied with 'I'm on my way,' but you're still in a rush, grabbing all your stuff and heading toward the door at full speed. ಠಿ_ಠ

She giggled as she headed toward the elevator. Not long after, she found herself on the first floor of their class building. Jennie and she kept exchanging messages. Even though they weren't too far apart, Lisa had brought her new camera from her uncle and aunt with her. Their professor had mentioned that they would have a lesson with their own cameras, so she had it hanging around her neck.

She laughed at how Jennie chatted with her as if they were separated by an immense distance, as though they were on opposite sides of the country. Jennie's adorableness made Lisa smile uncontrollably, and she had to pinch her own arm to refrain from appearing overly enthusiastic.

*Bogssh!

"Aww!! Hey! Watch it, you twat!!!" A girl with chocolate-brown hair hissed at Lisa. Lisa raised an eyebrow.

"Sorry, miss," Lisa said simply as she extended her arms to help the girl with chocolate-brown hair up. However, the girl didn't accept it; instead, she slapped it away.

"Eww! Never would I ever touch a low-life creature's hand!" the girl said, standing up abruptly, dusting herself off. She added angrily, "Look what happened to my uniform! It's all dusty because of your foolishness!"

Lisa tried to calm her nerves, but when she looked at her brand-new camera, she suddenly felt her patience wearing thin. There was a significant scratch on the camera's lens.

"Well, excuse me, miss. First of all, as far as I know, you're the one who crashed into me. Secondly, you should be the one apologizing, not me. You even scratched my camera, for God's sake!" Lisa snapped at her. The girl with chocolate-brown hair just rolled her eyes.

"Do I look like I care? And why would I even care? That's just a cheap camera. Eww," the girl said, her voice filled with disgust.

"FUCKING BULLSHIT!" Lisa took a deep breath, closing her eyes to restrain herself from throttling the brat standing in front of her. She examined the girl's ID, revealing her name as Lindsay Cia Lim.
