Chapter 11

"Jennie, you could've just woken me up," Lisa said as Jennie and she continued their journey deep into the forest, heading back to their respective dorms.

"Oh, my Lili, I kept shaking you, but you wouldn't budge. I was considering waking you up in a more, uh, abrupt manner," Jennie remarked with a mischievous glint in her eye before quickly retracting, "Aww! I was just kidding!" She didn't finish her sentence as Lisa kicked her shin.

"My goodness, it's already 9 p.m. How long was I asleep?" Lisa tried to check her watch, but it was too dark. The only light they had was coming from Jennie's phone.

"Well, you slept around 4 and woke up around 9:21 PM, so... 5 hours of sleep, I guess?" Jennie replied as she stretched her arms.

"5 hours!? I'm not sure if I can sleep when we get back. Anyway, don't tell me you've been fully awake while I was asleep?" Lisa asked as she nearly tripped, but luckily, Jennie was there to support her like a koala.

"No, I ended up sleeping after about an hour of trying to wake you up. So, I didn't have much of a choice but to join you," Jennie said, displaying her gummy smile in the dim forest. Lisa still caught a glimpse of her smile and just shook her head.

"Anyway, thanks again for the present. It means a lot to me, Nini," Lisa said with a soft voice.

"You're always welcome, darling... I mean, Lili," Jennie said with a chuckle as if her tongue had almost slipped.

"Yeah, hahaha," Lisa nervously laughed, scratching her nape. "I could've sworn she almost said 'darling'... No, maybe it's just hunger," Lisa thought, shaking her head at the idea.

"We're back. Do you want something to eat?" Jennie asked as they headed towards the elevator. Lisa contemplated for a moment, unsure if she should eat or not.

"Hmm, I don't know. I'm not even sure if I'm hungry," Lisa said, but her grumbling tummy gave her away.

"Embarrassing! Nice, Lisa, very nice!" a voice inside her head chided. Lisa mentally facepalmed.

"Well, your tummy says she's hungry. There are still leftovers in my dorm. I'll just bring them to you. Sounds good?" Jennie suggested as they reached Lisa's dorm room.

"Are you sure? Your dorm might be far from mine, and I don't want you to get tired because of me," Lisa replied with a shy voice.

"No, it's okay. I have a lot more stamina than you do, which is why I'm trying to fatten you up," Jennie playfully teased, eyeing Lisa's body.

"Hey, I'm not thin!" Lisa pouted, and Jennie pinched her stomach.

"Aw!"

"That wasn't even hard," Jennie laughed as she pretended to head towards the elevator.

"Don't worry, Lili. My dorm isn't far. I'll be back in 5 minutes, tooddles," Jennie said, heading towards the elevator. Lisa shook her head and entered her dorm. As the door locked, Jennie quickly went back, quietly opening a neighboring dorm across from the blonde's. She stepped out, fixing her hair to look more presentable, and then knocked three times. Footsteps could be heard as the dorm's owner opened the door with wide eyes.

"What the heck!? I thought you said 5 minutes!? Jennie Kim, how the hell are you doing that!? Are you a magician or something? Come in," Lisa said, gesturing for her to enter, and she made her way to the black bean bag.

"It's a secret, Lili, hehe. Although I won't be here long, Unnie said she needs help, so here's another bowl of Gamjatang. Oh, and I brought this seafood boil, lobster, and some shrimp. Eat well so that you'll gain some weight. And here's a spicy seafood sauce," Jennie said, taking three boxes out of the paper bag. She stood up, approached the drooling blonde, and stole another peck on her cheek, catching Lisa completely off guard. Her muscles didn't respond, and she couldn't move.
