Part 5

"You looked so stressed Mew. Are you okay? Gulf?" asked Thong after Mew ended the call.

Mew sighed, "It's Lisa. She wants to tag along to the shopping mall this weekend."

"With you and Gulf?"

"Hmmm... Actually it's involved you too," Mew said apologetically, "I'm sorry. I kinda use your name just now. Gulf asking me to go out with him this weekend, and i blurted out that i need to accompany you 😅"

"Heyy, you should be happy when Gulf asked you. Why are you giving him an excuse?"

"I just want to take some break, Thong. I think from now on, I should learn that Gulf doesn't love me. He loves Lisa. Lisa has been his friend since they're young. She is beautiful and kind, of course he will not fall in love with me. I know at first I said I won't give up but my heart just can't take it anymore. It hurt me when he pushed me away, when he talked harshly to me and when he was being lovely with Lisa in front of me."

"So what about this weekend?"

"I can't cancel it. I just say yes to Lisa. She said she just wants to tag along because she needs to buy something. But I knew it must be Gulf who invited her. So as I mentioned your name to them, can you come with us this weekend?"

"Where and when?" asked Thong.

"I will tell you later."

"Okay as long as you pay for my food."

"Sure."

It's been 2 days already, but Mew never contacted Gulf after their lunch break last Wednesday. Mew even didn't whatsapp him at all. No good morning, no good night text from Mew. He feels weird tho. Usually Mew will tell him his whereabouts, even though Gulf didn't reply to him. It somehow makes Gulf feel sad.

"Hey, you look sad Gulfie," asked Lisa while looking at Gulf who didn't touch his food at all.

"Nothing."

"Are you sad because of Mew? I realised he was not around since yesterday."

"Yeay. He did not contact me at all," sighed, "Do you think he is already bored with me? Maybe he already gave up on me."

"Maybe. I would do the same if my crush always talked bad about me."

Gulf glared at her, "It's because I was so stupid to think that I loved you."

"You love me, Gulfie~"

"But i just realised, I love you as my best friend, not romantically."

"And now you realise that you fall in love with Mew?" Lisa wiggles her eyebrows at Gulf.

"I need to figure it out. What should I do now?"

"WhatsApp him."

"What should I ask him?"

"You should ask him like this, 'Mew, do you still love me?.'" Lisa giggled at her own thought, earned a pinched on her arm by Gulf.

"Ouch!" Then suddenly Lisa's eyes widened, she pointed at somewhere behind Gulf.

"Thongs is with Mew!" she whispered loudly to Gulf, "Hey, am I good? Seems like they're looking for a table. Gulf called them to sit here. Quick! This is your time."

Gulf rolled his eyes and turned around, at the same time, Mew's eyes were on him. Mew smiled sadly when he saw Gulf and Lisa, but he still made his ways towards their table.

" Hey," greet Mew.

Gulf smiles softly at Mew as he took a seat beside Gulf and Thong beside Lisa.

"Thong, this is Lisa and Lisa this is Thong."

Thong smiles politely at her. Lisa smiled shyly at him and Gulf rolled his eyes.

"Gulf?"

"Hmm?" Gulf turned to Mew.

"About this weekend..." Before Mew could finish his words, Lisa interrupted him.

"Let's go to the cinema, Mew. I heard there is a new romantic Korean movie in the cinema."

"Lisa," warned Gulf as Lisa just made a wrong move.

Mew and Thong chuckled at the two best friends.

"Sure. Thong and I already finished buying our things yesterday. So I don't need to accompany him this weekend. We can go anywhere you want," said Mew while looking at Gulf.

"You won't tag along, Thong?" asked Lisa, disappointed with the news. Thong shook his head.

"Why? Can't you come along with us? Don't leave me with these two lovebirds," plead Lisa to Thong.

"Then don't come, my friend Lisa. I will be happy if you are not with us," mocked Gulf.

Lisa glared at Gulf. 'Damn you, Gulf.'

Mew smiled at what Gulf's said. Maybe Lisa is right, Gulf wants to spend time with him. He missed Gulf so much. He restrained himself from contact with Gulf these past 2 days because he needed to train himself to live without Gulf before he let him go later. He is going to be hurt but he will survive. He knows now or later, he needs to leave Gulf. He knows where he stands, he won't have a chance to be with Gulf. He made his mind that this weekend, which is tomorrow, will be his last outing with Gulf. He will try to move on after tomorrow. For now, he wants to enjoy his last moments with Gulf.

"Why don't you eat your food Gulf?" asked Mew when he looked at the untouched food in Gulf's plate.

"He has no appetite. He missed someone," said Lisa while smiling innocently at Gulf.

Gulf squinted his eyes, looking at Lisa, as if they're conversing through their eyes. 'Daii.. You wait.'

Lisa stuck her tongue out at him before looking at Thong.

"Are you sure you don't want to join us tomorrow Thong?"

Thong just shrugged his shoulder,"I'm not sure. Why?"

"She wants to spend time with you. Right Lisa?" Gulf wiggles his eyebrows.

"No.. Of course not because of that... hmm.. I mean, you need to come with us, so i won't be alone with them. I don't want to be the third wheel between them."

Before Gulf could counterattack Lisa, Mew rubbed his back gently, making Gulf turn to him. Mew flashed at him, his sweet smile.

"Just eat Gulf. Ignore her okay."

Gulf pouted before he turned back to Lisa, "I'm still not done with you," then he turned to Thong, "and Thong, let's go together tomorrow. She's right, I also don't want her to be alone tomorrow. At least she has someone with her."

"Yea, at least I have some company and this couple here can go anywhere they want. Right Gulfie, right?"

"Whatever Lisa, whatever," Gulf rolled his eyes and started to eat his food. Mew hand still rubbing his back as if he wanted to help Gulf cool down a bit.

Thong looked at Mew, asking for some help but Mew just smiled apologetically at him. He mouthed a silent sorry to Thong for dragging him into the mess.

"Okay, I will go with you tomorrow,"Thong finally said after Lisa looked at him with her pleading eyes, which made Lisa grinning ear to ear.

"Oho, someone's happy," teased Gulf.

"You should be happy too Gulfie~"
