The cool breeze of the spring season blew my hair on one side as I walked along the pathway followed by Harry. The flowers blossoming at one corner added to the scenic beauty of the environment. Long walk is all I needed to calm my nerves and of course harry was always there for me.
Harry and I had known each other for about three years. We met for the first time in highschool when he got transferred in my town. I still remember that day perfectly. At that point I was dating one of highschool's heartthrob.
*flashback*
"Do you do this often?" The tall young man asked.
"What? Showing random kids around their new school? Well actually no! Only when asked to do so." I genuinely replied. My answer didn't bother him as we passed down another hall.
"Can I ask you something?" The green eyes of the new kid met mine.
"Considering the fact that its what you've been doing since the past few hours, I'll allow you to go ahead." I made a sarcastic remark and as predicted it didn't bother him instead he paused walking for a while, standing still in his position. I stopped in my tracks turning to face him.
"You're beautiful. Not only from the outside but also from the inside. Will you go on a date with me?" He bombarded. By this time I knew my mouth was practically hanging to the floor. He was insane. I continued to walk leaving him behind only to have his footsteps approach me a few seconds later.
"Hey you never answered." He called out. This time I was the one to make a sudden stop, stepping in front of his face.
"You just met me, how could you claim such a thing about me?" I asked shovkef
"Well life is too short to judge. I don't classify good and bad people, I see the good in people, ignoring the bad." He shrugged. "Listen I know you think I'm going very fast but honestly I mean every single word I just uttered."
"I'm sorry harry but I already have a boyfriend." I just wanted to make this conversation as minimal as possible.
"Oh!" He was definitely taken aback. "Well we could at least be friends." A frown replaced his beautiful smile. I don't know why but I kind of felt bad for letting him down.
"Of course we can be friends Harry." I replied with a smile hoping, it would cheer him up.
Something in me was telling me how all of this was crazy. How he was going way to fast at literally everything. At first I thought that was how he was, with everyone. But I was wrong. He never made fast friends, in fact he never made friends. He only acted like that with me. Cause to him, life was short to wait for chances.
*flashback ends*
About two months later, I broke up with my boyfriend after finding out he cheated on me. The day was the worst day of my life. I felt broken but still harry was there by my side and I'm grateful to him. I don't know where I would've been without them.
Since that day harry kept trying to approach me in a way more than just friends. But each time I turned him down cause I never felt ready for a relation. Still, one thing I knew was that he wasn't the one to stop. He was going to try and try all the way till the end, while both of us waited for me to be ready.
"Hey y/n, Can I ask you something?" He broke the silence
"Sure." I allowed him after a long pause.
"Do you see my name somewhere in your love lines." He asked innocently
"Huh!!!" What was he talking about.
"Your lines. Is my name imprinted on them." He was clearly flirting. I can't say he was bad at it but he wasn't any good either.
"Since when did you decided to go for palmistry?" He simply shrugged at my question.
I decide to play along with him and brought my palm close to my face, pretending to carefully examine it. After about fifteen seconds I turned my attention back to him.
"No! I don't see your name here." I smiled a sarcastic smile.
He grabbed my hands in his larger ones. His other hand digging into the back pocket of his jean as he brought up a pen opening the cap and began scribbling something on my palm.
"Harry what are you doing?" I whispered because I was shocked and confused at the same time.
"Shh" he simply replied. His eyebrows squinting together as he brought hi focus onto my palms. A few seconds later when he was done he looked up bringing my palm close to my face.
"There! Now you have my name on your lines."
My eyes examined the way he had scribbled his name on my palms. I couldn't help but giggle at how cute he was acting today.
"But what if it gets washed away?" I questioned play fully.
"My feelings are strong sweet heart, and my name is running in your veins. It won't wash away that easily." He replied with a confidence I had never seen before.
That was the moment I knew I had to break down the walls I had built around me. Not for myself, but for the person who stayed and I know will stay. I had to break my boundaries for him cause I need him.
I leaned in placing a soft kiss on his cheeks, the bright red colour creeping up his neck making him glow under the light. He was beautiful.
"So can I take you out this Saturday?" He innocently asked, with a slight tone of excitement clear in his voice.
I simply nodded my head giving him my answer. The smile I saw on his face was the most beautiful thing I ever saw and I wanted to see it everyday in the future. I was crazy for turning him down but at the same time I was lucky, for he waited.
I walked in front enjoying the moment with a giddy harry, enjoying his victory, following behind.
