chapter 9: meow

everyone was busy finishing up , Yeonjun was inside the recording booth while the other four are on the other side of the room watching through the glass 

Soobin was watching intently at Yeonjun , he had suddenly had the urge to kiss Yeonjuns lips , he was brought back to reality when Hueningkai asked him if the recording was good enough or do another take 

Soobin decided that it was enough , they had been recording for the past hour , so currently it was late at night , exactly 12 pm , they asked their boss if they could stay the whole night and asked the other staff to let them use all the needed equipment for the recording 

so here they are in the middle of the night inside a 20 story building resting , all of them decide to take a break so all of them sat at the nearest sofa and fall flat , and without a single noise one by one they close they're eyes 

twitching Yeonjun woke up next to Taehyun who has cuddling Beomgyu and Kai who was sleeping on Soobins lap 

scratching his eye he looked for his plugged phone and checked the time it was exactly 7 am 

to think that they could sleep like that for 7 straight hours amazes him , scratching his head he went outside the recording room , he was walking to the pantry to make some coffee when some cleaners are already doing their job and greeting him good mornigs 

before he went to the pantry he went inside the mens bathroom just to freshen up his face 

waiting for the water heat up he checked his phone again scrolling through social media there he saw the article with the picture of him and Soobin and the main article was 

'idol Choi Yeonjun found at xx restaurants rooftop with an unknown guy, potentially his significant other'

breaking his train of thought was the noise the kettle made , closing his phone and placing at the counter top he made his coffee  

rushing towards him Was Soobin holding his phone 

"hyung have you seen the article?" Soobin asked nudging his phone screen in front of Yeonjun Yeonjun didn't answer 

"urgh... lemme talk ro my sister , im gonna tell her to deny whatever bullshit this article said" Soobin stormed off heading to his sisters office 

after finishing his coffee he followed after going to their CEO's office 

knocking, as he set foot to the room there he saw his manager , the secretary are all busy taking on the phone 

while Eunha and Soobin are talking about the issue 

"lets just deny the allegation from the article" Soobin saw that his siter was somewhat stressed because Yeonjuns comeback is getting nearer and even before his comeback they had to face this scandal newly roaming around the internet 

Yeonjun was feeling guilty "i'm sorry" Yeonjun bowed at everyone i the room Yeonjun assuring him 

"but its my fault, I'm the one who asked Soobin to have dinner with me" Eunha was frownig she never liked her artist to feel this way 

few hours passed and they now cleared out the misunderstanding , and Yeonjun was glad that his fans are very chill about it and saying that 'if he is having a relationship so what we are jst fans we are here to support not to dictate him'  

knocking was heard before a guard opened the door saying "excuse me but a girl named Shin Ryujin was raging at our lobby screaming that we should call Mr. Choi Soobin" all of them looked at Soobin 

he stood up but his arms was stopped by Yeonjun " let me come with you" Soobin nodded 

walking down the lobby they saw Ryujin Shouting at the guard

"YAh !!! Choi Soobin!!! are you cheatimg on me ?? huh??" Ryujin pointed her finger at Soobin chest Slightly pushing it

"What ?? do you believe an article instead of me??" Soobin yelled back

"yes because there are photo evidence of you cheating!" Yelling she started to smack Soobin with her bag 

"well i'm sorry i brought him there , did you forget it was our anniversary? you always ditch me when our anniversary comes!" Soobin yelled snatched her bag and throw it at the far corner of the lobby 

Yeonjun was trying his best to calm down the younger, He never saw Soobin like this , so angry , He never thought of a person who can literally a ball of sunshine be this angry 

"you! this is all your fault ! you think i didn't notice the way you look at my boyfriend you faggot!" Soobin  is about to defend Yeonjun while he was shielding his hyung from Ryujins punches  

"no Soobin let me handle this, i was the cause of the problem" Yeonjun stood in front of Soobin facing an angry heaving Ryujin 

" Soobin did not cheat on you let me clarify that me and him are friends and since you ditched you anniversary i told him instead of cancelling the reservation , me and him should go to the place, as friends" Yeonjun looked deadly at Ryujins eyes the girl was heaving 

"and please don't be too innocent , to think that Soobin was cheating on you? the audacity, wait.. i remembered my friend saw you the other day with a man,  and before you make excuses Soobin told us you have no brother or your other guy friends are still in the state so you have no excuse on who was that guy "  Yeonjun looked deeply in her eyes while he was twirling her blonde hair 

Ryujin was so furious she pried off Yeonjun and looked at Soobin 

"Soobin were over" Ryujin stood there looking at Soobin 

"sure go ahead but before you go,  the guy you were seeing? i asked my friend on how he looks like and lucky for you i found out that  he was one of my colleagues back in the US, Hyunjin? Hwang hyunjin ? yeah yold him you are cheating on him so maybe in a few hours or so you will meet him probably and leave you too, so this is good bye Ryujin , thank you for being my best friend" Soobin smiled at her one last time

leaving Ryujin there crying he held Yeonjuns hand and as they stood inside the elevator Soobin started to cry and all that Yeonjun could do was to hug him and rubbed his back for comfort 

'Soobin did not deserve this heartbreak , he did not deserve Ryujin , what he needs is me' Yeonjun thought as the elevator dinged and infront of them are his friends and Soobins older siblings Yeonjun let go of Soobin and as soon as he let go the two elders started to hug Soobin giving him comfort 

the scene was heartwrenching, heartwarming and also quite funny cause his two siblings are having a hard time to reach Soobins shoulders as the younger slope down so they could hug him more firmly 

Beomgyu stood beside Yeonjun and said "now his girlfriend is out of the way, whats you plan now"

looking at Beongyu , Yeonjun smiled and said " court him, make him feel loved , make him feel needed, fill the gaps Ryujin failed to give Soobin , love, time , affection and adoration"

"you really like him do you hyung?" Hueningkai asked beside him was Taehyun who was looking at him " so ? operation get you mans is a go" Taehyun asked with a light giggle and the other followed 

"Ryujin lost a beautiful gem but now i'm here to take treasure him" Yeonjun smiled 

Jungkook gestured them to come near the and they all hugged Soobin 

Soobin was thankful to everyone beside him
