3rd POV

"I'm finally here!" Saiko stood in front of the school wearing his uniform. He could see students with different quirks are excitedly entering the school. There are even some milling crowd of freshman like him near the entrance.

It was a week after the entrance exam when the letter from Yuuei came. Both him and his father watched the video that came with the mail together in the living room, and different emotions was experienced that day. His father was proud when he heard that his adopted son has a high score and passed but when he saw what he did on the exam... let's just say that Saiko got a scolding of a lifetime. He felt really bad when he discovered that his insomiac friend was on general studies and he won't see him much on school. Saiko was almost hesistant on telling Hitoshi that he was on Heroes studies, but he told him in the end.

Flashback

After Saiko got scolded by his father, he went straight to his room to lay on his bed. He checked his phone and as expected, there is a lot of messages from his bestfriend. It mainly tells him that he passed the exam and bragging that he was placed 1st on the entrance exam. Leaving a congratulations to him, he began cheking his inbox. When he saw Midoriya's message, he furrowed his eyebrows when he thought about how did his green-haired friend passed. With a shrug, he messaged him back with a congratulations and also informing him that Bakugo also passed. After a while, he noticed that there are no messages from Hitoshi and it made him worried.

Psycho Cat
Hitoshi... are you okay?

Scarecrow
I'm fine. No need to worry.

Psycho Cat
Don't lie to me, Hitoshi.

Psycho Cat
I'm gonna call so you better answer you phone, okay?

Saiko dialed Hitoshi's number, the ringing tone is the only thing he could hear in the room as he waited Hitoshi to answer.

"Hello? Hitoshi?" Saiko got more worried when no one was talking on the other side of the phone.

"Are you there? Should I hang up?" Just when Saiko was about to end the call, Hitoshi spoke.

"Don't. Please... just talk." He said with a tired voice.

"Oh... Okay." Saiko softly smiled and began talking about everything he could think of. Even if there are no response from Hitoshi, he continued to talk because he knew it would somehow make Hitoshi feel a little bit better.

"Saiko. I was unable to enter the hero department. I'm at General education..."

"You know that it isn't your fault right? It was just an unfortunate coincidence that your quirk isn't suitable for the exam." Saiko assured his friend.

"And... and there is still a chance to be a hero! I heard that if you have exceptional grades or sonething, you could transfer to the hero department! So don't lose hope okay?" Hitoshi smiled when he heard Saiko's encouragement. It brought him a little bit of hope for himself.

"Thank you for that. I assume you made it to the hero department?" Hitoshi asked Saiko.

"...I did." Saiko replied with hesitation.
