He sat there for a few minutes before willing himself to stand up and wobbling to the washroom. He shut the door behind him and started pulling off his clothes.
He stepped inside of the shower and started cleaning himself up. He scrubbed shampoo through his hair and thought of what Bruce told him. He's alive.
Steve was alive and he was getting wasted and locking himself away. Which is exactly what steve hated him doing, he'd always drag him out of his lab late at night and brought him to their bed. He was always making sure that he was taking care of himself.
If it were any other day, steve would be so disappointed in how he was handling himself. His head was still spinning from the booze and he feel into the wall a few times, but he finished up and turned the water off.
He dried off and wrapped the towel around his waist as he walked out to get dressed. He didn't know who's room he was in except that it wasn't his. He opened up the drawer and immediately saw steves blue army sweatshirt.
He sighed and picked it up. He balled it up and held it to his face before pulling it over his head. Steves clothes have always been more comfortable, and they smelled like him.
He threw on some more of steves clothes and luckily he found a pair of sweats that belonged to him so they wouldn't be too baggy on him.
Bruce walked back in, startling tony and making him jump. "Sorry." Bruce said and pulled up a chair to the edge of the bed. "Feeling better?" He said as he rolled up tonys sleeve and cleaned the area. He nodded and wiped his nose. "Just a small pinch..." he said as he stuck the needle in his arm then taped it down. "You definitely look better." He said as he hung the bag on an IV pole and stood up.
"I got an update while you were in the shower..." he started and helped tony to his feet, "he's almost out of surgery, they're going to be taking care of resetting his bones tomorrow or the following day."
Tony nodded, "thank you," he smiled slightly, "for everything man"
"You don't need to, we're family" Bruce smiled back and opened the door for him.
They walked through the halls and Bruce had led him to the doors of the viewing area, but tony stopped in his tracks in front of the door. He could see Thor and Wanda through the small window in the door and a few doctors through the second window but he couldn't go in. "I can't go in." He told him. "I can't see him like this Bruce." Bruce nodded and Wanda walked out when he heard some chatter.
"Hey" she said quietly and noticed the IV, "are you okay?" She frowned.
He nodded and sniffled, "drunk." He responded, "is he—"
"He's doing ok, from what I know he's stable and will be done soon" she answered and crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Do you want to go in?" He shook his head.
"I-I can't.... I think I'm just going to get some coffee" he started taking some steps back, "Bruce will you let me know when he's out?"
He nodded in return, "yeah of course"
"I'll go with you," Wanda started, "I need to stretch my legs anyways."
Bruce watched them both slowly walk away and Wanda turned back to him and nodded, just a small signal that she's got it. He purses his lips and walked back into the gallery.
Everyone looked at him as he entered, "you get to stark?" Clint asked and leaned back in his chair.
Bruce nodded, "yeah, I got him to get cleaned up and got him a banana bag..." nobody knew what that was, "he's drunk, it's going to help him sober up"
Natasha nodded, "is he going to be okay?"
He sat down in a chair in front of the window next to her and leaned back, "yeah, he's just getting some coffee with Wanda. He said he can't be in here, that he can't see him like this."
"I can't blame him..." Thor started, "it's not easy seeing him like this." He was still standing by the window staring at the doctors, making sure they were doing their jobs even if he had no idea what that was exactly.

They got to the break room which was cleared after the two agents sitting at the table saw both of them walk in. They knew what happened and wanted to give them their space.
Wanda motioned for him to sit down, as he did, "how do you take your coffee?" She asked as she set grabbed two mugs out of the cabinet.
"Black is fine" he said and stared out the window overlooking the cloudy sky.
She poured both of their coffees and sat down across from him. She knew that they didn't know each other well, and she knew that her decisions with helping ultron were largely based off of her hated for the man. But a lot has come to light on why his weapons destroyed her village, and it wasn't because of him.
"I understand that you don't know me well, and probably aren't too fond of me..." she started as circled the ring of the mug with her finger. "But I've come to know you all better, and I just want to make sure you're doing all right."
Tony smiled slightly and took a gulp of his coffee, "I'm fine," she was right, he didn't know her all that well and didn't want to go into details, but she was a good kid who, like her brother, got caught in a bad situation. "I'm sorry about your brother" he added.
She sat back uncomfortably and took a deep breath, "thank you. There's nothing anyone could've done, he wouldn't have stopped until all of our people were safe."
"He was a good kid, so are you... a bit of a pain in the ass at the beginning" they both chuckled a bit, "but you two are a part of the team now"
She smiled back tears and mouthed a thank you before drinking her coffee.
