"Lance? Lance? LANCE" Pidge yelled, startling Lance awake. Lance looked up to see his friend Pidge, with her short dirty blond hair and her round glasses resting in front of her big, brown eyes. She wore her orange and white uniform with two gold stripes on each shoulder. "What the fuck Pidge?" he yelled, stitting up in his chair.

"It's time for lunch dummy" Pidge said, flicking Lance's forehead. "Ow, geez, that hurt Katie" Lance exclaimed, rubbing where Pidge had just flicked him.

"I told you not to call me that. So are you coming to lunch or not?" Pidge rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah. I'm coming" Lance said, rolling his eyes in return.

Pushing away from his desk, Lance stood up out of his chair, grabbing his backpack and slinging it over his shoulder.

"Alright, lets go" He said, securing his bag on both shoulders. "Finally, I'm starving" Pidge whined as the two walked out of the class.

They walked down the hall passing other groups of students, teachers, lockers and classrooms on their way to the cafeteria.

Upon entering the cafeteria, it was noticeably loud as usual with most of the tables full, with the exception of a few smaller ones by the walls and doors.

The two were waved down by Hunk at one of the outer tables. He was a big guy with slightly browned skin and almost black eyes, wearing the same uniform as Pidge and Lance. They made their way to the table and sat down with Hunk and Pidge's older brother Matt, who looked like a older version of Pidge. He wore the same uniform but with three gold stiles instead of two due to the fact that he was a grade above the others. They slid off their bags and sat down with the two.

"Haaa" Lance sighed, looking over at a table across the way, his head being held by his propped up arm. He was starting at a lightly browned skinned alien girl with pointy ears, long, white hair and pink markings bellow her eyes.

Pidge and Matt, who were sitting across from Lance turned around to see what lance was looking at. "Ugh" Pidge groaned. "Her again?" she asked annoyed.

"Ah, her name is Allura" Lance corrected. "Whatever" Pidge rolled her eyes. "Yeah dude, I mean, she's way out of your league, why do you still try?" Matt asked.

"Exactly. And she's probably not ever your soulmate" Pidge said. "Well just have to wait and see. Allura's already sixteen, so when I have my fist soul switch we'll finally see if I am her soulmate or not" Lance leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms.

"But what if she isn't your soulmate? What will you do them? Hmm?" Pidge teased. "Well I don't know" Lance answered honestly.

"Come on guys, calm down. Let's just eat lunch" Hunk tried to settle everyone down. "Hmm, speaking of soulmates Hunk, we still haven't met yours" Matt pointed out. "That's right. You promised that you would introduce us to her" Pidge exclaimed.

"Well, I will. Just not quite yet. We're still getting used to it" Hunk said shyly. "Makes sense" Lance shrugged.

Matt and Pidge sighed. "Fine. We'll wait" Matt whined. Lance and Pidge laughed as they all finished up their lunch.

// time skip because we don't like school //

The last bell of the day rang and everyone packed their bags and left as soon as they could. Lance and the rest of his class did the same but were held back by their teacher, Mr. Hieronymus Wimbleton Smythe, but he just let the students call him Coran or Mr. Coran.

Coran had an almost white shin, orange hair and mustache, black eyes and blues Altean markings below his eyes along with his pointy ears.

"Don't for get to do your Altean history homework. We'll be finishing up Altean history tomorrow as well" Coran quietly yelled as students were finally let free from the classroom.

Lance groaned and exited the class, heading to his locker to pick up his skateboard. As he arrived Hunk was already waiting for him.

"Hey buddy" Lance smiled, taking a twist at his lock, opening it quickly after. "Pidge wanted me to tell you that her and Matt can't walk home with us today. They have their extra class, club thing" Hunk said.

"Oh right" Lance rolled his eyes. "They have their smart people club. Wait, way aren't you in that club?" he asked his friend.

"Well you would have to walk home alone every Thursday if I did. Plus, there's kind of a limit to him many people can join" Hunk laughed.

"Ahh" Lance nodded, shutting his locker as they started to walk towards the exit. "So how was history?" Hunk asked.

Lance groaned. "Mr. Coran is funny and all, but he makes really bad dad jokes sometimes" Lance said. Hunk laughed. "I was talking about the actual class, not the teacher" he continued laughing.

"Oh, yeah. I knew that" Lance laughed nervously. "Yeah, sure you did" Hunk continued to laugh as they exited the building.

They walked through the crowds of other students to the sidewalk heading left. They turned left and walked down the sidewalk positioned alongside a busy road.

"Have you ever realized how lucky we are to be going the the Garrison?" Hunk wondered. "Of course I have. I mean, come on, not only are we going to the bast space exploration school, but we're at the home base of all of them" Lance said proudly.

"That is true" Hunk laughed. "Welp, this is my turn, see you tomorrow Lance" Hunk waved, as he stopped at a cross walk. "See you tomorrow" Lance waved, throwing down his skateboard and hopping on, flying down the sidewalk.

Arrived back at his house, Lance hopped off his bored and kicked it up into his hand and entered the house.

"Welcome home mi hijo (my son)" Lances mother welcomed. "Hola madre" Lance said.

"Uncle Lance" yelled a young boy running into the entry way. The young boy look fairly similar to Lance dispute being his nephew.

"Silvio? What are you doing here?" Lance asked. "Nadia got sick at school to Mamá picked both of us up" the young Silvio said. "And are you feeling alright?" Lance asked, crouching down. "Yup" Silvio smiled. "Good" Lance sighed.

// time skip because idk what to do here //

Lance was lounging in his room in his pajamas when his mother entered. "Lance, mi hijo (my son), stop staying up so late. Get some sleep" his mother said.

"Sí, sí, mamá. I will" Lance chuckled and lowered his head to his pillow. He watched as his mother shut his door as he followed his blue walls up to his white ceiling dotted with glow in the dark stars that were now dimly lit.

Lance sighed and settled under his sheets and drifted off to sleep, thinking of what his soul mate might be like.
