Chapter 2

Later,Jibanyan made it to the human world. She visited her usual spot at the intersection,but noticed something was off. She stopped in her tracks to investigate as Usapyon finally caught up with her. He was out of breath,"Babycakes......I'm......sorry....."
Jibanyan shushed him as he replied,"You're still mad at me?!"
She turned to him in response,"Shush! I'm looking!"
"At what....?!" Usapyon questioned.
Jibanyan turned back and pointed at the sight of shinigami attacking humans. Usapyon was shocked to see this. They collected their thoughts to figure out what was going on.
"Why didn't Enma call me for this....?" Usapyon spoke up.
Jibanyan shook her head,"Because.....it's illegal to interfere with the shinigami."
"Says the one who fought the shinigami......" Usapyon mumbled.
Jibanyan groans,"I learned my lesson.....ok?! Besides.....shouldn't we figure out what's going on?"
"I suppose.....but.....why would they kill so many people without reason?" Usapyon pondered.
They were deep in thought,but were interrupted by a familiar scream. As they approach the intersection,they noticed the shinigami were after a certain someone.
"Natsume?!"They start to panic.
Usapyon said,"There's no way it's her time.......but.......they have to do their job."
"Nyo......."Jibanyan tried to run toward them,but Usapyon held her back. He sighs,"I know you want to save her......but......you know what happened last time....."
Jibanyan struggles to break free,"I knyow.....but she's our niece! She's family!"
"We have to let them do their job." Usapyon stated as the shinigami got closer to Natsume. As they were about to shoot Natsume,Jibanyan turned Shadowside and broke lose from Usapyon's grip,"I'm not letting them do this!"
She dashed off as Usapyon sweats,"Jibanyan! No!"
Jibanyan made it to the shinigami and threw a punch,which caused the shinigami to drop their weapons. They looked back to see Jibanyan standing,in a fighting position.
"You again?!"They exclaim.
Natsume was confused,"Jibanyan......?!"
"Didn't I tell you to nyot mess with my family?!" Jibanyan was enraged.
They responded,"How were we supposed to know she's part of your family?!"
"Do you need another lesson from me?" She asked,as she punched her fist into her paw.
The shinigami were angered by this,"Looks like we have a pest to take of......let's end this so we can move on. Get the feline!"

They picked up their weapons and dashed towards Jibanyan. Natsume didn't know what was going on,as she took notice that her friends were fighting other shinigami. She realized that no one else was here to help. She got frustrated,"What am I supposed to do?! There's no way I can help Jibanyan out!"
"But I can."She turned back to see Usapyon towering over her in his Shadowside form.
"Usapyon! What's going on?!" Natsume asks in concern.
He replied,"I was about to ask you the same."
"I just want to know why do they want me dead?! And.....how do they know Aunt Jiba-I mean Jibanyan?"Natsume sweated.
"We'll explain later.....but......for now......stay back. I have no choice but to fight." Usapyon regretted his decision,as he rushed towards the shinigami.Natsume went to help her friends,hoping everyone would be ok. As Jibanyan fought the shinigami,one of them came behind her and shoved her to the ground. She landed on her stomach,which made her moan in pain.
"Not so strong now? Aren't you?"They teased her.
As Jibanyan gets up,they shove her to the ground again and again. She got weaker the more they pushed her body,due to her stomach being pressed to the surface.The shinigami made one last attempt as Jibanyan gave up on the final blow. She couldn't take the damage that was done to her baby and herself. They laughed at her as she started to sob in pain.
"How pathetic! You were much stronger last time! Now look at you. You're a weakling! Let's end this!"They surround her and raised their scythes to reap her.
Usapyon was furious and couldn't believe they would treat his wife this way. He couldn't believe they were about to end her Yokai life. No,he wasn't going to let them.Suddenly,Usapyon got a dark aura surrounding him. Natsume and the others were finished fighting and came back to notice his transformation. They watched as Usapyon transformed into a different being,also known as his dark spirit,PyonUso.He charged at the shinigami and pointed his arm,that was now replaced with a gun,towards them. They took notice,"Who the heck are you?"
"Your worst nightmare....."PyonUso growled.
They asked,"Aren't you that bounty hunter Enma hired? Wait until he finds out about this!"
"Go ahead and tell him! My wife is more important than my job!"PyonUso exclaims.
They look at Jibanyan and turn back to him,"You mean this fatty? She's so weak that she had her hubby to rescue her."
They laugh at Jibanyan,who was in too much pain to react. PyonUso towers them and points his gun in their faces,which made them stop.He growls,"Move......or perish."
They grab Jibanyan and pointed their weapons at her,"Put your gun down or she'll perish."
