A Deal's a Deal (Gravity Falls)

Prologue

I woke up.
Another boring day at home.
I got up, knowing I wouldn't fall back asleep. I didn't really want to go to sleep anyway.

I had my breakfast, brushed my hair and my teeth, and got ready for the day. Work.

(hours later)

Finally, after a long day of work, I could finally relax. My siblings were in the next room, playing with their toys. Mother was sitting in the lounge-room, reading a book.

It was time for bed.

I didn't want to go to sleep, but I had to.

I soon fell into the familiar, cold, cruel, abyss of asleep.

...

I woke up.

I was in the all too familiar darkness.

That's all I've known for decades.

But the one person I didn't want to see the most had changed that for me.

The yellow triangle came floating through a portal only he could open. I sighed angrily.

"The hell do you want?"

"Just a little hand in my plan for revenge." The triangle replied, unfazed by my angry tone. He knew I couldn't hurt him. I glared at the dream demon.

"Why in all of hell should I help you? What would I get out of this?"

The triangle thought for a minute. "Hm...oh I don't know, freedom out of this hell-hole maybe?"

I thought for a minute. Would he really grant her her freedom back?

"I don't give a shit. Your deals are crap. I'm fine in this 'hell-hole' that you've trapped me in. I have a family now..."

That was a lie.

And he knew it.

"Look at yourself. That 'family' you have when you 'fall asleep', or 'wake up' as you like to call it, isn't real, and you know it! You're just giving yourself a poor excuse to be sane. We're not sane Wolfy! You could get out of here if you make a deal with me. Don't you wanna be free? Maybe even rule another dimension? I'd give you all that and more!
So what do ya say?"

"...What do I have to do?"

"Simple! Find the statue of me, shake my hand, and also gain the trust of the Pines family!"

There was silence for a few minutes as the I thought.

"....Sure. Why not?"

The yellow triangle held out a flaming hand. One shake and she had to do what he said.

She took it.

The triangle smiled.

"Then it's a deal!"
