By the time Claudine had finished packing all of her belongings, it was 8:00 AM. She felt partially bad for leaving Maya outside in her car for an hour, but it wasn't her fault anyway. If Maya had cared about waiting, she should've just texted Claudine about the road trip instead of showing up at her hotel like some kind of psychopath. As Claudine rolled her suitcase to the door, she took one last glance at her hotel room. She was really going on an impromptu road trip with Maya Tendou. She forced herself to leave the room lest she allow herself to think more about what the decision entailed for the next two weeks of her time. Claudine made her way over to the elevator and pressed the button. She was going to be spending two weeks with her rival, alone, exploring a foreign country together. The elevator door slid open accompanied by a ding. This was not going to be good for her psyche.

She ended up arriving at Maya's car at 8:15 after discussing with the receptionist that she'd be cutting her stay short, having to explain that 'no, it wasn't because of bad service,' but rather an abrupt change to her schedule. Knocking on the glass, the blonde garnered Maya's attention, who responded by unlocking the doors.

"Finally. I was wondering if you had changed your mind," The brunette began.

"Obviously not, when have I ever backed down from anything?" Claudine retorted grumpily, "If you wanted me to be quick, you should've texted me beforehand."

"C'est plus amusant comme ça," Maya responded as Claudine placed her suitcase in the trunk of the vehicle. There really wasn't much room in the trunk. The car itself was rather small to begin with, but coupled with Maya's suitcase, her suitcase, and the crushed right bumper, the trunk could barely even close. Claudine somehow managed after several attempts and was relieved when she could leave the icy cold and enter the warm interior of the car. Maya grinned as she watched Claudine slide into the seat across from her and buckle her seat belt. She shifted the car into reverse and set about exiting the parking spot.

"So, are you going to explain to me what compelled you to go on this road trip in the first place?" Claudine began, before quickly adding on, "Also, where the hell did you get this car?!"

"One at a time, ma Claudine," Maya replied, to which Claudine grumbled at the pet-name. It had been a while since she had heard that phrase so frequently.

"I decided upon this road trip because New York is simply too cold this time of the year. I also wanted to explore this country as I have not had many opportunities to come here. Why stay in one state when there are many other states and adventures to discover? A stage girl has to be open to new experiences if she wants to hone her craft, and so, I have decided to do so," Was Maya's impeccable reply. Claudine had to admit, she was somewhat impressed. Who knew that Maya had thought so heavily about a simple road trip? Although, considering it was Maya, Claudine presumed she should've assumed as much. It really had been too long. She was losing her touch on knowing all things Maya!

"Right, that all makes sense, but what about the car?"

"Oh, well, I needed one for a road trip, obviously."

"Why not just rent one?"

"That wouldn't make it special though. How can it be my... I mean... OUR road trip if we're taking a rental car? We needed a car that was actually ours if we were going to go on a special road trip," Maya stated as though it was common idea that you should just buy a car instead of renting one.

"There are so many things wrong with your logic there, I don't even know where to begin," Claudine groaned, "Also, ours? How were you so sure that I was going to accept to go on this weird trip with you anyway?! What if I had plans? What would you've have done then?"
