He was one of those people that didn't care what other people thought! He caught the wandering eyes of every kid in the class. They watched intently, just as I did, when Noah picked up his stuff, fixed his eyes on me, and grinned as he walked towards us. I thought it was because his friend, Vlad, always sat with us. I swore Vlad had a crush on me or something. He always sat with me. Always. It was flattering, but I obviously wasn't interested.
"Hey guys." Noah said cooly, sitting next to Vlad, and right across from me.
"Hey man, what's up?" Vlad replied, obviously disappointed he couldn't get Noah's attention. Noah was staring at me intently. The teacher seemed startled that he moved but, she didn't make him go back to his seat. She just shrugged and told us to stay focused. So, we worked, and chatted it up. Noah had asked me loads of questions. This repeated every day. I was in more love than ever! He was a dreamboat, magical and beautiful.
Then there was that one thing that showed he was just in love with me as I was with him. One day, Vlad had to leave early. So, he did. I saw Noah said bye. And turned to me. The girls that usually sat with us were at the pottery wheels. So Noah and I were alone. We chatted. I got up to get something, and his friend said something funny to him as he passed by.
"Lux! Lux! Wanna hear a joke?" He yelled across the room. He started a new chain of events that suddenly became annoying, and I decided he was just an average boy. So, giving up, I put my whole heart and soul into Dayton. Then, a few days later, he broke up with me. Without a reason. I was heartbroken. But I guess it didn't last long. I always had Noah to go back to! Or did I?
Rumor had it, Noah started dating a girl named Star. Epic tomboy, didn't seem like a person I would hang out with. Actually, she seemed dark and gothic to me. Dark hair, dark eyes hidden by dark rimmed glasses, always wore a pair of converse and always wore dark clothes. But we somehow became fast friends. Maybe her dark personality blended well with my light, bubbly energy. Like lightning. But, good lightning.
There was always that part of me that had always pulled me back. That part that said, "Lux, don't do it. You are growing up too fast. Everybody loves you as a child." And then there is that part of me that said, "Look out world! Lux is growing up, and showing you everything she has! Get your ass off the couch Lux!! Go out and see the world!". Let's just say that pep talk definitely worked for me!!! I got my ass off the couch. I ran around. I became more creative. I ate less food, trying to add a look that was a whole lot more flattering. I was definitely noticed by more guys!! That leads me to a later on point of the story. So, Dayton fell in love again! He asked me out, we slow danced at the last school dance of the year.
