Richies POV
Standing at my parents doorstep, I really wish I hadn't come here. But why not try to mend things with them? What are they gonna do? Kick me out?
I take a deep breath, and ring the doorbell. My moms face appears at the door. She doesn't say anything, and gives me a hug, just like the last time I came.
"Hey." I say and awkwardly hug her back.
"I have great news!" She says, still hugging me. "I've convinced your father to let you stay here again!"
"Wait, how?" I ask, and she finally perks herself off of me.
"Well..." She bites her lip. "He's working later now, so he'll sleep in later... So just don't get in his way. And he said that was fine."
"You sure?"
She nods. "Now, c'mon. He's out with friends at the moment and won't be back till later." She takes my bag and enters the house, and when I hesitate to enter she turns around. "Coming?"
"Coming." I say, and enter into the house I'm probably not very welcome in.Eddies POV
Richie just texted me, letting me know that his situation with his parents had kind of improved.
"That's good." I said into the phone.
"Yeah, I guess. But I don't know, my moms like really tense around me and my dad is probably going to crush me the first chance he gets."
"Good luck with that. You can stay over whenever."
"Thanks Ed's. You're awesome."
I don't bother correcting him, because he's been through enough already.
