Rosalyn returns to the outpost before the witches spot her. She hides in the shadows until she sees fit.
Cordelia, Madison, and Myrtle walk down the hall to main ceremony room. "Find our sisters." Myrtle and Madison split up. They return with Coco, Mallory, and Dinah. "Where is she? Where's Rosalyn?"
"We didn't find her," Madison tells her. "But she'll show."
"I know." Cordelia takes a deep breath and removes the identity spell from Coco and Mallory before bringing the three of them back to life.
The women wake with gasps. Coco and Mallory are deeply confused.
Mallory slowly takes off her glasses, noticing that her vision has repaired itself. "What's going on?"
"Poor dear." Myrtle speaks. "To be raised up and released from an identity spell at the same moment."
"Can someone please tell me what's going on?" Mallory stands up. "What do you mean, identity spell?"
"We placed it on you for your protection." Cordelia tells the girl. "Coco, too. It kept you from knowing your true self."
"Why?"
"Because your special, Mallory. And we need you. All of you. As well as Rosalyn, wherever she is."
"You're on your own with that shit." Dinah tells them.
"Yes, we know." Rosalyn shows herself. "The voodoo bitch wanted to help ruin the world."
"Rosalyn?" The girl looks towards Cordelia. "Oh, goodness. What happened to you?"
"Hello, Mother." Rosalyn rolls her eyes. "I was sent here with the voodoo bitch. Raped by the antichrist. Then disowned by my father. Three cheers all around. I'm only here to help defeat Michael."
"How can any of you defeat me," he announces his arrival at the top of the stairs, "when I've already won?"
"You haven't won," Cordelia denies.
"Perhaps you haven't noticed the state of the world."
"It's almost as bad as your dinner jacket." Myrtle insults him. "At least the world can be saved."
"By you?"
"By all of us." Cordelia says.
But Dinah denies her involvement. "Get the wax out of your ears. I'm here to watch."
"When I'm done, you'll all wish you'd stayed dead." Michael tells them. "The seventh seal has been broken. Wormwood has fallen from the sky and turned the rivers to blood and fire. The bottomless pit has been opened and my swarms of locusts and scorpions have ravaged humanity. The world has been remade in my father's image."
"Well, rule number one was kill the witches. You failed." Myrtle mocks him.
"I could annihilate all of you in a second and the world would go on without missing a beat. You and all your work will be forgotten in the rubble of the past. But i want to give you a future. Fall to your knees and accept me as your lord and savior, and I will you to the table as my obedient subjects."
Cordelia begins to laugh and Rosalyn just rolls hers eyes as Mead yells at them to bow before Michael. "The only way we would sit at you table is if your decapitated head were the centerpiece."
Rosalyn focuses on Michael as the others continue to bicker. Her attention is refocused by Dinah's screams as she bleeds out from the wound on her neck. Rosalyn quickly refocuses on Michael. She watches him nod at Mead and the woman rips off her hand, revealing a gun. Cordelia says a spell to shut her down, but Rosalyn flicks her wrist and watches the robot explode and send Michael flying over the railing of the stairs.
She swears that a few tears escape Michael's eyes before he stands up. But Madison grabs the gun. "Sorry about your little toy, bitch." Madison shoots him several times and they all watch as he slides down the wall, blood flowing onto the floor.
The witches devise their plan but Rosalyn already knows what to do. She kneels down in front of the man, eyes black as night, and plunges her hand into his chest.
The witches watch wide-eyed as the girl rips out his heart.
She takes a deep breath as she feels the energy flow from his body. "Rosalyn?" She hears Cordelia ask. "Let's see him walk away from that." She drops the organ lamely at her feet. "It's what I was born for, Mother. Even if God did disown me. Go do your spell. And Mallory, when you find Cordelia, tell her that she did good. The couple years she had me." She watches Michael as she hears the witches run away. He could've been good.
Rosalyn's eyes return to normal as she remembers him finding her when they were younger. They were best friends, and then they fell in love. But her accident made Cordelia send her away.
She kneels at his side and outs her hand on his face, giving him the slightest amount of energy. Michael's eyes open ever so slightly. "Rosalyn. You're still alive."
"Barely, I had to talk to you one last time though. I just wish we would've been able to remember each other before the outpost. When we loved each other." She leans forward to kiss him and shares more of her energy with him. He uses the energy to pull her closer before the energy leaves them and they collapse to the floor. Gone. Two souls in sync. Forever.
I'M PROBABLY GOING TO DO A CHAPTER OR TWO FOR YOUNGER MICHAEL AND ROSALYN
