She was pacing again. She does it a lot. Normally when she is upset or frustrated. Who knows what she is off about now, but whatever it is, it must be bad. She normally isn't like this. I mean, she always paces, but not like this. She has been pacing down the hall and talking to herself for the past hour. She suddenly stopped and clapped her hands once, going back down into her bedroom. I sighed and rolled my eyes.
Part of me was kind of interested in what she was thinking about, but the other part of me said to stay out of it. Me and my mom weren't exactly close, so it wasn't like I could just get up and walk into her room and suddenly act like I cared. And its not like she would even respond either, she would probably just tell me to go away like normal.
Either way my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to go check it out. Even if nothing good came from it, I could at least say I tried.
I got up from the couch and went to her door. I knocked lightly on the door and waited. All I could hear was random shuffling around and an occasional bang so I knocked on the door again.
"Mom?" I asked, before hearing her stop. Then I heard her sigh and I frowned.
"Adrian, not now." She replied and I could the annoyance in her voice. I just rolled my eyes.
"Mom, what's wrong?" I asked, deciding to pester her a bit more.
"Nothing, just leave me alone for a bit." She said, and continued whatever she was doing. I sighed and walked away to my room.I flopped down on my bed, rolling onto my back, and stared up at the celling. It was covered in posters. Yes, my celling, not my walls. I had all sorts of posters covering my celling. The original color of the celling was white, and now it is covered so much you can't see it. I heard something slam and I flinched a bit. What the hell is she doing? I turned over on my side to stare at the wall that separated my room from hers.
We used to be so close. Seriously. Then when I was like ten years old maybe everything changed. She started acting weird and hating me. I don't know what happened, but it was like suddenly she hated me. I don't even know why, and she never explained. She didn't even try to hide the fact that she hated me. She openly told me it ever day.
I sighed again and closed my eyes.Maybe tomorrow she will be better.
