Chapter 15

Akira's P. O. V:

As I run with Gray, Nanami, Vivienne, Momo and Loki, Gray tells me as much as he can about Tartaros. We'd gotten split up from Mamoru, Zuko and Ember awhile ago.

I'd kept my Amber Earth Sense spell activated, and I can sense an unfamiliar vibration from up ahead. I warn the others, "Enemy, straight ahead."

"How many?" The Fullbuster questions, glancing at me briefly.

"Only 1," I reply, sensing my guild mates' vibrations all over the guild hall.

We continue charging ahead. In a matter of minutes, we see the enemy I sensed earlier.

"Behold! The Star of Misfort—!" The fugues begins in a monotonous tone, but he's cut off when Gray runs on ahead and punches the figure through the chest from behind. Only for his fist to go right through, as it breaks out into a mist like substance.

"Gray-san!" Wendy exclaims, flying through the air as she's carried by Charlele, Happy carrying Lucy. Gray looks up in surprise.

"Good work!" Lucy adds.

"Wendy, Lucy?!" Nanami says in surprise as we look up to see said girls flying overhead.

"Hold on a second! Where are you going?" Gray asks. He bends backward as Lucy and Wendy fly past him, Nanami and I doing the same.

Lucy responds vaguely, "There's no time to explain!"

Wendy adds, "Thanks for the save, though!"

"Yeah, sure..." Gray replies, as he straightens and turns to face the skeletal figure with the same kind of ability as me, Nanami, Juvia and Grandpa.

"You... you are Silver's..." The skeletal figure tries to say but trails off, as his body repairs itself.

"What?" Gray mutters.

Nanami and I leap forward to land next to Gray, Momo, Loki and Vivienne beside us.

Gray says with annoyance, "Listen, man, we're in a bit of a rush, alright?! So either tell us why you're bringing up this Silver guy, or shut up and come at us!"

Gray runs forward and punches the skeletal figure, only for his body to break apart again. "This freak uses the same defence as you guys," Gray observes.

"Gray! Stop! If he uses the same defence as us, then attacking him like that is pointless," Nanami says, her brows furrowed at the figure before her. Gray scowls in frustration.

"Then, how do you suppose we beat him?" He demands, looking back at the Suishous.

"No clue, but just figure it out! Water Slicer!" Nanami throws out her hand and blades of water shoot at the Tartaros member. They go right through and his body starts repairing itself.

"Crystal Magic: Growing Cherry Tree Sapling!" I slam my hand on the ground and thorns of crystal grow out it, heading right for the enemy. However, just like before, they go right through his body. I scowl in frustration.

I blink when I sense Loki's vibration behind the man, though I can't see him. Keyes' body splits again as someone punches him from behind. Gray stops short and blinks his dark blue eyes in confusion.

"This ability is annoying, but this... whatever this human is, is especially troublesome," Loki's lazy drawl reaches their ears.

"Was that Loki?" Gray asks, glancing to me. I smirk at him as I nod.

Gray demands, "What the heck are you doing? If you're gonna fight, then fight!"

Keyes says, remaining unfazed by the attack's thrown at him, "Tartaros does have a member who might your strength but I am not he."
