Akira's P. O. V:
I linger beside Rogue as Nanami comes up beside me, gazing after my teammates. I couldn't believe it! I was honestly worried about this mission, that I may not be able to stop our futures from happening. For the past year, I'd done nothing but train and train and train until I'd pass out, which would make Rogue panic, of course but I still couldn't tell him. But, then, Natsu decided to show up and take up the job request for us instead.
I could feel Rogue's immense confusion through our bond, even as he gazes at me. I think I now understand why Natsu ordered me to stay back; so that there's less of a chance of me being killed, even if Rogue and Frosch aren't there.
Natsu ordered me to stay back to protect me...
Natsu-kun...
"Well, I'm heading back to the guild hall to tell Sting what happened," Minerva announces, turning to leave. "You two can do what you want, just as long as you don't leave the city."
Rogue and I nod, and Minerva leaves.
Nanami says, "I'm going to head back as well." I nod to my sister and she follows after Minerva, leaving us alone.
"Are you alright, Angel?" Rogue asks as he turns toward me.
"... Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm fine. Why?"
"I thought you'd be happy about seeing your teammates again?" Rogue asks.
"I am! I really am!" I say, smiling assuringly at him.
"Did Natsu say something to you?" Rogue questions.
"Uh, no. He didn't," I lie. I couldn't tell him the actual reason. Not yet.
"You know something, don't you?" He questions, furrowing his brows a little.
"I don't know what you're talking about," I say innocently.
"Akira," Rogue says firmly. "You've been acting weird ever since I first mentioned the job to Malba. And I can feel it through the bond. Please, just tell me what's bothering you?"
"I-It's nothing, really! I promise I'll tell you everything when Natsu and the others get back," I reply, making Rogue sigh.
"Alright, Angel. Let's get back to the guild hall, then," He murmurs. I nod in agreement.
Rogue puts his arm around my waist, and with the Exceeds walking beside us, we make our way back to Sabertooth.

A while later, Sting, Nanami, Grandpa, the Exceeds and I head to Malba to check up on Natsu's group. Grandpa had returned about half an hour ago. He'd taken a job to wipe out a bandit hideout in the next town.
We stand on a cliff that overlooks the city, gazing at the sight before us.
