I looked through my closet for a elegant yet casual dress. It was only dinner, correct? I look at the invitation and anxiety washes over my face.

"Who makes an invitation for a dinner? Maybe I'm not the only one coming?"

I sighed and decide on a little red dress, silk material that hugs my figure. My phone rings and a smile makes its way on to my lips.

"Hello my love."

I feel my nerves strengthen at the sound fiancé's voice.

"Did you get settled in safely?"

I beam.

"Yes. It's such a lovely house."

He chuckles.

"Just wait until I finish setting up our house right across from it on the lake."

I sigh. He bought me this small house to stay in while he renovates our main house, my parents' house, across the lake. I step outside to see a green light beaming at me from my soon to be home.

"You turned the light on!"

He chuckles.

"Ah so you can see me, I know you only keep it on at night, but I wanted you to know I'm watching over you."

I smiled.

"Such a romantic."

He chuckles.

"Any plans for your evening?"

I sigh.

"Yes, but I'm puzzled what to wear."

He pauses for a moment.

"Oh? And what are these plans."

"My new neighbor has invited me for a welcoming dinner," I reply.

"Ah isn't that nice. Why are you puzzled on the dress code?" He pounders my confusion.

"Well, I was given a physical, formal invitation. It gives off a more formal or possibly a larger attendance feel than a casual dinner."

He pauses.

"Is it the house directly across from ours?"

I think to myself.

"Yes, I believe so."

He chuckles in acknowledgment.

"Ah that's J. Park's house, he's known for his extravagant parties every weekend night. However, I've never heard of him giving an invitation."

I tilt my head looking toward the house.

"Ah, should I wear something for a party then?"

I toss my red dress back on to the bed.

"I would see that as fit, maybe a casual but fun dress. But my love?"

I nod to myself.

"Yes?"

He chuckles.

"He's quite the lady's man I hear-"

I sigh cutting him off.

"Awe is my fiancé worried about my loyalty?"

He grunts.

"Not at all, however I don't know Mr. Park personally. I don't know if he is worth my trust."

I chuckle.

"I will keep that in mind."

...

I make my way to the front courtyard of the Park household. My eyes are met with hundreds of sharp suits and sparkling dresses. I smile about to step towards the gate. As I try grab my invitation the crowd pulls me in like a wave. I'm grabbed and pushed forward into the mansion's foyer. When I get a moment to catch my breath I realize I had dropped the invitation. My eyes widen in disappointment, searching the ground around me. And that's when I find it, it's held out to me from a gentleman's hand. I take the invitation back with a smile and bow in gratitude. And then he looks up at me and our eyes meet.
