It was Grimm studies once again and once more, professor Port had began his very long story telling session. By this point Mal has given up on his tirade on saving grimm seeing as how all other attempts he had so far each time he challenged the professor ended up with either the grimm exploding from him trying to "purge the darkness" or being forced to take it down due to it getting out of control.
Currently, Mal was slumped on his table, eye twitching slightly from the prodding from Rogue. A man has only so much patience. Especially someone like Mal. With a sigh, he then turned to Rogue and exasperatedly whispered out "What?!".
Rogue then said "Psst, ask Weiss out.".
Mal then deadpanned, saying "There. Is a lesson. Going on. Couldn't this have waited later? A-and it's not like a like her anything.".
Rogue then casually shrugged as usual and then said "Just the messenger here.".
Mal then gave Cenn the stink eye unknown to the blonde boy.
After a few more seconds and the class ended. As it did, Professor Port then said "Timed that one wrong... I guess. Well, the stunning conclusion to the story will have to wait until next time.".
All the teams then left for their rooms and as team MRACL arrived at theirs, Mal immediately went to the wardrobe to change. Everyone else in the room then looked at him with raised brows. After all, Mal was never the guy to change clothes first. In fact, if it weren't for the threat of dirty laundry, Mal was the type who might not even care for what they were wearing. As long as it was comfy, it was good enough. Now though, the team were perplexed as they saw their team leader change into what seemed like his first piece of clothing aside from his battle clothes that didn't look casual. It was a vaguely atlesian in its design. A white coat with black sleeves, gold buttons running down the chest, black pants, armored sneakers and, instead of his usual Sol and Luna, he carried a bigger black shield on his back the size of his entire torso. It had what looked like an hybrid of a sword and a beowolf as an insignia as well as the red lines coursing through it like it was a grimm.
Rogue then smirked, saying "So, you ARE going on a date with Weiss." making Mal glare at him only to be met with expecting eyes of Cenn, a smug smirk on Rogue's part, Alice bot caring enough to defend him and a lack of Lex since the guy walked off to do... something.
Mal then huffed before saying "No... No I'm not. I'm just... Hanging out with Ruby and Yang coz I figured that... Um... I haven't hung out with them in quite a long time." doing his best to keep a cool facade as to not reveal his true intentions.
Cenn's disappointment was immeasurable and his day was almost ruined and it showed in his disappointed frown as he walked away only for Weiss to pop into the room, saying "So are you coming or not?! Everyone else is already starting to leave and I can't for the life of me, leave you because Ruby decided I was your babysitter." only for Mal to look up at the ice queen with a twitchy eye.
He said "Yeah, I'll catch up. Just... I'll just... Explain what's going on here.".
Weiss then silently realizes what's going on, nods and then walks back to her dorm room.
Rogue and Cenn then began looking at Mal once more and this time Alice joined in with a small smirk of her own.
Mal then stuttered out "S-so... I guess you all want an explanation, don't you?".
With thinly hidden smugness, Rogue then said "Oh we would love an explanation, Mr. I-am-totally-not-dating-Ice-queen.". Mal's ears then burn bright red as he shouts "I'm not dating Saber idiot!" in his high pitched voice.
__________
After Mal finished writing off their stake out as a "Family thing but Weiss was dragged by Ruby", he then exited the room to follow Weiss with only one doubtful eye staring at him.
